Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Hi, it’s my first post here.

This is my first AMV, and i'm pretty new at this. I hope it's not that bad for the first time.

PS. I'm sorry for my weak english.

Welcome to the site, Norbi! :D To make it easier on yourself when posting about a new AMV release, you can use the "VidID=" button above. It will post all the information about your AMV for you. Just click the "VidID=" and then enter your AMV's number (found at the end of the URL address) after the equal sign. Your number is "156075" so it will turn out like this:

I just checked out your AMV and I must say, you impressed me! :D When I read this was your first video, I wasn't expecting the effects nor the quality to be this good!

I've never seen the anime, but for the most part, I could understand the story you were trying to tell. I really loved the beat-effects like the one at 1:23 and I think you used the darkening effects and lighting effects very cleverly! It's not just a good first video, but a good video in general! Fantastic job!

The only suggestion I will make is that you might want to compress your audio to MP3. While the uncompressed sounds great, it's usually not used for distribution. As a matter of fact, your audio file takes up nearly half of your video size. Compressing your audio will reduce the 90MB file to at least 60MB.

You are definitely on the right track. I'm giving you a five and will be looking forward to your next AMV. Keep it up! :)

I don't know this anime, but I like giving newbies a chance. I gotta say, I really enjoyed this. Some technical issues, but they can be easily overlooked for the fact that you did an exceptional job with the editing. Some of the best mood sync I've seen from a first-timer.

If nothing else, the song is nice.

I think this needs some more recognition, really, because you've got some raw talent here. ^_^
