Post by Tsunami Jones » Mon Sep 26, 2005 12:40 am

To join in on the post-AWA rush that'll be starting, I went and uploaded my AWA pro video.

Video: Getter Robo: Armageddon
Audio: Iron Savior - Titans of Our Time

Enjoy! (Maybe >_>)

Iron Savior, lol

Well, I'll have to get this, but it'll wait until tomorrow.

I really enjoyed this video on the Pro discs, which is surprising for me because I usually hate "robot anime" videos, but you actually managed to maintain my interest throughout the whole video. Downloading now...

  Unbelievable! I just "discovered" IRON SAVIOR through Piet Sielck's involvement with the new Savage Circus album. Of course, from there I gave Iron Savior a listen - and they're not too bad. As for your video... it's pretty good. Although I'm ignorant of Getter Robo, the editing was solid and it genuinely melded with the spirit of the song. Plus it was kind of fun to watch. Very good stuff.

O_O your the one responsible for this one.... Your one of the reasons I suggested the Oldschool category. (along with the astroboy entry) Oh, and good video btw.

A mecha anime, and a song about a giant mech - a match made in AMV Heaven. Or something like that.

This video is still awesome.

Ehm...

That was 4 minutes of pure goodness :o

I'm seriously at a loss to say anything else, because that's all it really was. I'm not gonna try to understand why I loved it, and just watch it again instead. And I have nothing to complain about, and the editing I just utterly, utterly loved in all its shameless simplicity.

5/5. For the pure oldschool goodness, yea.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

That was really nice. The song fits pretty well and that video had a lot of power.

It made me want to save the world !

I left a quick reply, but I may as well say something here.

The only problem that I had with this video at all was the start of the solo. That was the only weakness at all. It felt just the slightest bit off time. Everything else... just... damn x.x

Sorry about the large file size, but after trying several times, I just can't seem to get it any smaller.

That's great to hear! :o

Thanks! I'm glad that you enjoyed it, even without having seen Getter Robo.

I'm glad to hear that you liked it! Although I don't think it really should've been in that category, since while it looks classic, this particular Getter Robo series was animated in the 90's :P

As soon as I heard the song, I knew exactly what I wanted to make it to. Thanks btw, for recommending the song to me

Cool beans 8-)

 I'm so quoting that in the video description.
