Thanks. Yeah, chances are having seen the anime involved helps, but hopefully even someone who hadn't could detect the general themes. She loved it btw.risk one wrote:Nice.
Though it doesn't really feel like a video for people who haven't seen any of the anime (I suppose you were pretty sure the main audience member had seen all three of them).
What did your girlfriend think, btw?

Emo sorrow fest eh? Well, I wouldn't exactly go that far with it, but yes, there are quite a few sorrowful themes in there. The idea was mainly to show the semi-cheesy fact that all of these characters (the men and the women) are essentially saved from any pain or adversity by their feelings for each other, and in the end by being together. Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you liked it (she did too).LightningCountX wrote:I felt the video was more of an emo sorrow fest more than a love fest. But you did do a kickass job regardless. A nice change of pace from your usual videos. Great editing and flow. Hope your Laurie liked it.

Sorry dude, still don't have broadband access eh?Flint the Dwarf wrote:Veg makes a romance video?! O.O
Why'd it have to be so big? I'll see if I can get it tomorrow.

Those were intentionalWarheart wrote:Nice video, but somehow I see alot of actionsequences in it (maybe cause your'e a native action-editor).

You know me, I have a habit of never being able to stick to just one genre. When I say romance/drama/action/sentimental, I mean romance/drama/action/sentimental. I felt the action was neccessary to show the nature of the characters involved (not to mention the lyrical synch was just too good to pass up). Thanks again for the comments.
Yeah, I have that problem sometimes. It's like I edit with a microscope and thus lose the big picture. Still, watch it a few more times and let everything kinda settle in, then it might not seem AS overeditted. Beo agrees with you btw, he thought it was too fast. Personally, I love the video, but then again I may be slightly biased-Xoninmuoshda- wrote:i enjoyed it for the most part.. i just thought there was too much editing... i mean.. it's a romance video..

Thanks dude :OKoop wrote:i totally called it |:
good job nonetheless : ]
Glad you liked it, thanksTono_Fyr wrote:Damn good, man. Liked it better than Hawk's Tallon (I think that was the name of it, the filename is Judeau, and that particular video has a bad habbit of not playing the audio <.< )

The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

nice! SSJ finally makes a video other than action and drama.... and it came out great. I agree that the various animation styles, the way you edited them, blended in well. at some points It was actually hard to tell where Kenshin footage wasn;t Berserk footage O_o and the styles are so different.
Good Job. Flowed well, had alot of good mood synchs, the action came up at apropriate places in the song, so it didn;t feel out of place.
I Liked. Contrary to that one poster though, Hawk's Tallon is still my favorite from ya ;p

You used some of my favorite canon pairings, with romance, character interraction (friends/relatives), and a nice dose of action and interesting editing. I particularly love the use of Kaoru here, and the match of 'battousai' Kenshin and Vash. I thought the beginning was too fast, in need of softer fades or fewer cuts. But once the music kicks up the editing fit very well.
