About Me
Well, where do I begin? I'm a fourteen-year-old otaku.freaak.geek.nerd.bookworm.dork hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah. Land of the non-anime-because-it-comes-from-the-devil people. *hack-coughBakaryouCough* My anime experience started when I was five years old when I first saw Miyazaki's "My Neighbor Totoro". I rented that movie about 4 times a month and watched it intently for my childhood. I then moved on to the dubbed Salior Moon which aired on Cartoon Network at the time, then to Gundam Wing, and finally (once we got a computer) to the fansubs of any good anime at this point. [see favorite anime list] But my anime was yet to be alone! I discovered the wonderful manga about two years ago when my friend started talking about Magic Knight Rayearth. One of the best shojo manga clamp has done next to Card Captor Sakura. [If you haven't seen it yet, shame on you! Go buy the manga or the DVDs/VHS!] So, yes, I became Otaku for both.
Convention History
I just recently attended my first convention. At ConDuit 13 I probably had the time of my life. There were so many people there, I met one of my current best friends (*wave* Cellie-chan!), I played "Vash Bishonen Tag" a.k.a. "Stalk Cosplay Vash Until He Lets You Glomp Him", and just fit right in. In the place where I live, Otaku's are really rare, so when we meet eachother, it's like a bomb dropped. The world seems much more brighter when you know that there are people out there just like you. It's really great. I can't say much more about it. *sigh* Updates on Nan Desu Kan: I've just recieved recent information that my ride there decided to kick me out of their car. -____-; So, looks like I won't be going...;_; But that doesn't mean I'll give up hope! There's lots of nifty conventions everywhere...like Anime Expo...Sakura Con...*watches everyone fall asleep*
