- Profile: Me? Oh, there isn't that much for me to say really. I'm a college student at FSU doing web development. I love anime (but of course =^.^=) and I love music. I have had 14 years of musical training in piano and have continued playing even though I stopped taking formal lessons. Outside of music, I spend most of my time as librarian and president of the Japanese Animation Club of Tallahassee. I prefer being the librarian as I rather handle the days influx of anime we have to get for our screenings and suggesting different anime series for people to watch.
As far as AMVs are concerned I've only finished 2 of them. In all I tried 4. The first was done on a Celeron computer with a Vodoo 3500 capture/video card. I ended up creating one really wacked out video to Combo #5 which was meant for laughs and to see how priemere worked. I stopped for a year due to lack of a decent capture system and lack of hard drive space. The next one was to Eva and Lincoln Parks however I dropped it due to lack of source material. Kokoro is my first finished and released AMV.
The Kokoro AMV I did was done on the following system. Mostlikely my next one as well will be done on this system.
My system which I used to capture was a Sony GR390 Viao. (Yes a laptop)
Pentium 1.4Gigahertz
512 Ram
Less then 5 gigs of hard drive space (hehe, so I goofed)
Trial version of Adobe Priemere (soon to be replaced by an official copy of 6.5, need to save money and buy!!)
Sony TVR520 camera
one cheap firewire cable
and the DVGate software from sony to get my stuff back to tape.
Pretty sad isn't it =^.^= Hopefully I can purchase a external hardrive for this system eventually. If I can find one that connects to through the PC Card slots on the laptop and is fast enough to handle video editing (and cheap too!)
Update: Finally have a system that doesn't always lag out when i work on Adobe Premiere.
