  • Removing the Away sign 2006-01-27 16:03:45 It's been a long while... WAY to long. Things took a wild turn in mlife and I haven't attempted ina AMV for a long long time now. I'm just now recovering all my files from my last two music videos. I'm eternally greatful for the people who happened to hang on to my Kokoro AMV, I can not find the 8mm cassette tape I dumped it to. As far as equipment goes, I'm ready to start again, enough ram, enough hardware to do it with. I just need to work out what exactly i'm going to try next. I haven't listened to many CDs lately but i'll think about what to do next. I wanted to do one to Outlaw Star or maybe even Stellvia. In any case I'm back!
  • Its up 2002-10-06 20:26:22 I pushed up the release of the AMV. I ran it across some friends yesterday and they liked it. Its hard getting critism from them sometimes. Anyway, its up, I added a few scenes, cleaned up some of the board problems. Though I'm worried about the poor server i'm using. I'm not sure if it can handle traffic such as the one that its about to get. Serving webpages is easier then AMVs.
  • Getting the file to the right size. 2002-10-05 15:00:34 I never imagined that I'd have one heck of a time getting the file to a decent downloadable size. Most of the versions I made of Kokoro - Crest of the Stars was around 93MB which was too big in my opinion. Still, I spent all day friday and part of Saturday morning editing all the stuff for this video. I realized that you'll need more then 6 gigs of space to work on this thing. Unforunately with all the development software I have installed on my laptop, its kind of restricted. I am unable to store it was a lossess file because of space as well. I need to clear out my desktop and reunify my harddrive on there so that I can store the video. I'm amazed how stupid Sony equipment can be. One of the methods I tried to do to archive the video was save it to a Hi-8 tape which I heard was a really good idea if you have access to it. Well, it turns out because my computer is a Sony Viao, it thinks I'm trying to copy a DVD or protected movie and causes the tape recorder to stop copying stating copy inhibat and I'm using Adobe's print to video function. What a piece of crap! Until I find a better way of store this thing, I'm out of luck and out of space. I may not be doing another AMV for a while until I can clear my hard drive for my next project.
