  • /PISSED OFF 2006-10-28 15:42:59 Ok, so I finally, FINALLY got around to finishing RahXephon, and I have to say....MOST DISSATISFYING ENDING EVER. The plot made absolutely no sense at all, although I'm sure if I watch it through again I'll pick up on some more things. Like Evangelion. In fact, the series is a LOT like Eva, no matter what anyone says. It blatantly rips off Eva a TON, and the ending is even a little like Evangelion's. Well, in terms of End of Evangelion.

But that's not why I'm mad; I'm getting used to confusing and unclear plots that end with few of my questions answered; ever tried watching Paranoia Agent? No, I'm upset because of Ayato's fate and how he didn't seem to end up with Haruka, which is total bullshit in my opinion. Call me a hopeless romantic if you will, but I hate it when that happens. It doesn't make me feel happy. Which, I know not all anime is supposed to make one feel happy, but the way they portrayed the ending made it seem like that's how I was supposed to feel.

I hated it I hated it I HATED IT. I was so ready to have a nice, happy ending where he and Haruka end up together, but noooo...guh. It was disappointing, to say the least.

But that's not to say I didn't like the series. It's one of my favorites and I'll DEFINITELY watch it again, because I want to understand it and it's quite emotional at points, especially near the end.

Luckily, though, they made a movie, so maybe I shouldn't go trashing the ending just yet because technically, it's not over. I'm not going to be able to get my hands on the movie for a while, though, so I have to go with what they gave me in the series and I just don't like it. Grr. Damn anime companies.

In any case I'd recommend the series to anybody, because it's quite a ride and it'll throw you for a few loops. I thoroughly enjoyed the series and I can't wait to see the movie, although it's going to be a long time before I watch the series again because A) I have a lot of other anime watching to do and B) as much as I like the series I'm getting sick of it because three of the four AMVs I've made so far have used RahXephon footage, and I still have to make one more.

Speaking of which, I probably won't start that for another week or two; I'm taking a break from editing for a while so I can kick back and watch some anime and play Fallout 2. And I have a total of seven ops I still have to give, which will never get done if I start editing another video. I don't have much motivation anyway; I feel like I really have to unwind a little after watching RahXephon, because it really messes with your brain.

So yeah. Watch RahXephon, explain it to me if you can, and try to justify the crappy ending.

    Until then, later.

  • I just have to rant for a second here... 2006-10-27 13:32:42 but WHO THE FUCK PULLS A FIRE ALARM AT 3:00 IN THE FUCKING MORNING?

Thank God I wasn't asleep yet; I was registering for second semester classes, but still. Ten more minutes and I would have been in bed...instead I had to stand outside across the street on the sidewalk for half an hour and get bitched at by a couple of 20 year-old egomaniacs who think they're better than me because they live in the apartments instead of the dorms for standing on their lawn, even though the sidewalk is neither their lawn nor their property.

All on the night before an 8:00 AM sociology exam, no less...

Gah, there are times that I really hate this college.
  • Want a great example of lip-synching? 2006-10-26 03:40:53 Then you are absolutely required to watch this video:

One of the best videos I've seen recently, and the video profile has less than a 100 hits! What a crime. You should definitely check it out; it's amazing. And while you're at it, look at this video too:

They're both incredible. Watch them. WAAATCHH THHEEMMM.

I might just take a page out of dj_ultima's book and pimp those videos in my signature because I'm so impressed with them. So yeah, that's all; if you want to see MY new video, World Taken Apart, the link is here:

Check it out, let me know what you think.

    'Night, all.

  • D-d-d-done 2006-10-25 03:18:56 Score...I finished my side-projct AMV, although by now it can hardly be called that considering the amount of time that ended up going into it. My computer decided not to crap out on me and just shut down while I was rendering it out of Vegas, which makes me happy. I'm going to hopefully upload it tomorrow, but that's no guarantee.

Ugh...so yeah, nothing else really interesting to report. Although I have some music recommendations. If you like acoustic-pop kinda music, definitely listen to Angie Aparo. If you like bands like Mae or Anberlin, listen to Copeland. Oh, and listen to Rush. Because they kick all sorts of ass.

Those are the artists I've been listening to for the past week or so; I just though I'd share the love.

Ok, well, see you tomorrow. Oh, and if anyone is waiting (still, i.e. Omega) on ops for me, keep waiting. The main reason I haven't gotten them up sooner is because of the AMV I've been working on. Now that that's done, I have no excuse to put them off anymore, so I'll try and get as many up as I can in the next few days (I have like, what, seven pending? Eight?)

    Later.

  • I work too hard 2006-10-17 01:31:21 So I started my Ayato/Asahina "side-project" AMV today, and already I'm putting more effort into it than I meant to at the outset. This could mean that it'll take a lot longer to finish than originally anticipated...who knows?

My point is that I have to start my paper now. It's due tomorrow.

Damn my procrastination. Straight to HELL.
