It's getting to be that time of year again...

Ooh..can't wait to see Yeiweh's new video.
Anyway, my video's coming along nicely...and much quicker than I'd anticipated. I'm already almost a minute in, which is good. I've spent all evening and night editing, and on one portion in particular that was driving me crazy but ended up looking really cool. I'm excited. I plan to have this video uploaded by next Wednesday, because I'm going home Wednesday evening...and I don't want to have to go four and a half days without editing. I don't want to lose interest...although I wasn't all that interested in this video to begin with :/ I'm having fun now, though.
Am I the only person that doesn't like it when the editing takes a lot less time than planned? I mean, this video's still turning out really great and I like the feel of it so far, but whenever I edit I always feel like I'm going too fast. Ah well. I haven't made a video for almost a month, and I guess I'm just a fast editor anyway :/
And my family got high-speed Internet at home! That doesn't affect me while I'm here at college, but it's nice to know that I won't have to be without AMVs for a month during winter break. I'm planning on bringing my entire desktop computer home for that time so I can edit, and maybe with the high-speed I can get this computer online as well. That'd be so sweet...but I'd never leave my room O_o
Speaking of winter/Christmas break, I need to make a Christmas list by next Wednesday. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow...most of what I want is anime, but I can't put that on my list because no one's going to be willing to spend $60+ for a series, and I don't want to have to send my shoppers online to check for *ahem* cheaper copies. Maybe I'll put a few movies on there (I'm thinking along the lines of Akira, Princess Mononoke, and Grave of the Fireflies), but I don't think I'm going to bother with full series. I'll just ask for money for that. Besides if I really wanted to I could buy a new series every two weeks, but I don't have a debit/credit card and I'm too lazy to get my parents to go online and buy it for me (and reimburse them later, of course).
So I'm thinking most of my list will consist of CDs by Vienna Teng and other female singers that I've become obsessed with lately...and Seinfeld Season 7. Maybe I'll also ask for Magix Movie Edit Pro 11, because I've been interested in getting that program (and it's pretty cheap), but probably not because I'm pretty satisfied with Vegas, which can probably do anything Magix can do.
I can't really think of much I want. I'm going to be hard to shop for this year... >_<

I had a similar experience back in eighth grade. On my last day of junior high, my friends and I were walking from school to my friend's house and we had gotten onto this strip of grass that was between two streets - kind of like a median, but it was separarying two different streets, not just the different lanes of one street.
Anyway, there was a No Parking sign (or something) and we had just walked past it...and five seconds later a car smashed into it. It was really, really scary. The funny thing is that we had just come from a White Castle, and one of my friends had refilled his drink before we left and we waited for him. I was mad at the time because I wanted to leave and I didn't want to have to wait for him - but that ultimately saved my life.
I was five seconds away from never having made an AMV. And we all know how terrible THAT would have been >_<

I've heard bad things about most Eureka 7 videos, but this was my first one and I was blown away. I'd definitely recommend giving it a gander, and leaving a quick comment if you can.
