You know what really pisses me off? Like, really? When other guys hit on my girlfriend. I don't feel threatened or anything, because I know I have absolutely nothing to worry about. It's just the nerve of these guys...and it happens a lot, too. Like, today for instance. My girlfriend has a MySpace, and I guess some guy was sending her messages asking about her. She (stupidly, IMO) friended him and then he sent her this:

Bauzi, I know Wonderful Days! Well, I have the movie on my computer...haven't watched it yet, but I plan to. There are only a handful of Wonderful Days movies on the .org, and the kind of AMV you're planning on making is so not your style. Wow, I just got really excited! Can't wait to see that one...

I'm sorry, but when you wrote about someone dropping weights on your toes in weight training...well, that just made me laugh. I'm such a bad person...

Slow going

Ugh...my video is coming along so slo-o-o-wly...it'll be a miracle if I can get this up by Wednesday afternoon. I'm not optimistic. Scene selection is killing me, and the very nature of this AMV makes it slow going already...man. We'll see, I guess.
On a lighter note, I had to describe what two gay men "do for fun" to my naive Korean friend last night. He's been in the U.S. for eight years, went through American high school, and still didn't know that gayness goes past just holding hands. It was quite funny.
Wow. I thought I had more to say. Guess not. I really should do some ops...maybe I'll get one done tonight. We can only hope.

Tra-la-la-la-la...editing...

My new video is becoming extremely effects-intensive...I've even turned to my...er...copy of After Effects to help me out. I feel bad using it for obvious reasons, which is why I've hardly touched it up to this point. But I needed it for that ever-popular shatter effect, and I doubt I'll be using it again (at least not with this project). Vegas's stock effects are actually incredibly powerful with enough patience and creativity, and I've already made some effects that look like they were done in AE.
This is all very different for me, because I tend to be outspoken when it comes to my feelings on the usage of effects (I usually don't like too many). But in this video the effects are taking center stage, and I'm almost (though not completely) ditching the concept for this one. The concept's a hassle in and of itself considering how RahXephon ended...and that's my justification for not having a strong one in this video. I didn't completely understand the ending, so I'm going to make a video that doesn't seem to have a concept on the outside but if you really search for it, it's there.
Yeah, we'll just go with that.
This video also grinded to a near halt today, at least as far as adding more footage goes. I spent hours just tweaking this one effect, and even though I got almost a minute of footage in yesterday I've probably worked almost as long today and got in maybe 15 seconds. It feels better editing this way, but there's also that sense of urgency to have this done by Wednesday.
I could actually probably finish editing ON Wednesday...my compression problems in the past have been due to my not compressing audio, so I'm pretty confident it won't take me long to get my video compressed correctly this time around.
So yeah. I'd be very surprised if anyone read this all the way through...when other people journal about their editing processes I tend to skim instead of actually read :/
Oh well, I think I'll finish up my editing for the night, op one of Yue's videos, then go to sleep. Nighty-night, .org.
