Yay, timelord's journalizing now!
Has anyone ever been in one of those moods where you owe several people ops but you really just don't have the motivation to give THEM ops, even though you really want to op a video that hardly needs any more but you feel like you need to give it an opinion anyway, just for the hell of it?
Yeah, that's how I've been feeling for the past week or so. If you're waiting on an op from me...keep waiting. You won't get it for another week probably, but it WILL come. I guarantee it.
Moving back into my dorm tomorrow. I can't decide if I'm excited about this or not. I mean, I'm ready to see all my friends again and have my own computer hooked up to the Internet, but I like it at home and I don't want school to start. Ugh. I will be able to start playing Wind Waker, though...I haven't played it yet, and I'm eager to. I borrowed it from my friend over break but I left my other friend's Gamecube at school. AND I can start playing some flight sims since I got my joystick over break...I can't wait to fire up games like TIE Fighter and Independence War 2 and Tachyon: The Fringe. I've been itching to play those for a long time but my newer computer's motherboard doesn't have the outdated port needed for the joysticks I had. So I guess I do have a lot to look forward to...
And maybe I can start talking to Kariudo over AIM...gotta find out how that Wii's treating him ^_^ I've heard nothing but good things from other people so far.
And I've got so much to do when it comes to AMVing as well. I'm ready, mostly, to start my new Lain project...I have two MEP segments due within the next two months (I should REALLY polish off Kaxi's MEP, especially >_<), I have another project that's just getting under way...*sigh*. No rest for the weary, right?
Also, speaking of AMVs, kinda, ever since you started doing AMVs seriously, have you began noticing how things in the television media (commercials especially) are edited? Whenever I watch a commercial, specifically movie trailers, I notice certain effects and techniques that I've seen in AMVs. After Effects IS used to make lots of commercials, after all. I notice every little thing now. It's actually kinda cool. It makes watching commercials a lot more interesting.
Hmm. Well, i suppose I should start packing stuff...I'm going back tomorrow afternoon. At least I get Monday off for Martin Luther King Day. That's something to look forward to...I guess :/

Has anyone ever looked back on some of their older videos and then thought to themselves, "What the hell was I thinking?" Yeah, I did that today. I sat down and watched each and every one of my videos...

Amnesia In Comfort is God-awful, and anyone who likes that POS should be shot on sight. Vice-Vers'a almost worse. Three Sides To Every Story...that one's still watchable, and there's nothing in there that I cringe at when I watch it, but it's not the same video it used to be. Even World Taken Apart is a lot worse than I remember it being. And Figured Out...even though that one's recent, well, Greg was right. There are way too many problems with that video for it to be called "good".

Lain's Lullaby and the one I just finished are the only ones I really like. Grabbing At Angels is just meh to me.
So I've been going a little beta crazy...I think I asked like seven people to look at my new video, which I am now sincerely regretting. I like my videos to be a surprise, and I'm ruining it >_< At first I only wanted kikai to beta it, but then I asked a bunch more people...*Sigh*
Oh well. I don't think I'm going to be able to not upload the video until Valentine's Day. In fact, it may be up within the next few days. I realllyy want to put it up, because I think it's my best. I know I said that about Figured Out (eck) but this doesn't have any of the problems that one had...I think.
And I signed on AIM tonight in the first time in forever, and like ten people IMed me, almost all at once. I was talking to timelord and viper and Yue and jade_eyed_angel (who I'd never talked to beforehand)...it was quite entertaining. I'm going to have to not go on AIM for a while and then just suddenly sign on more often.
Sooo...yup. If anyone got a PM from me asking to beta the video, get to those ASAP. I want to give everyone credit, but I also want to upload. So hurry. And thanks everyone who's already given me feedback ^_^
