I just played all the way through Sonic The Hedgehog 2 for the first time in years, and I must say...:up: Great game that I almost forgot about until I got this recent video game music remix obsession. Listening to remixes from Sonic 2 made me want to play it, so I went through and beat it...I had one life left at the end O_O But several continues. It was a great way to waste two hours.
I also recently played my way through Sonic 3/Sonic & Knuckles, which is quite honestly in my top five for best game of all time (Sonic 3 being locked onto Sonic & Knuckles, that is). Kickass levels, great gameplay, and the best music you can find in any game, ever.
I have to say that I've never gotten very far in the original Sonic The Hedgehog. The game is actually pretty hard, though; the Sonic series got progressively easier, but lots more fun. The original is fun for awhile, but I can never make it past the third or fourth zone just because I get bored :/ But I will beat it someday.
Now I have to go play Sonic 3D Blast, which is another spectacular game (despite the fact that it was probably the worst-received Sonic game of that gaming generation). That was the first Sega game I ever played, and the Sega Genesis was the first console I ever owned, so it has a special place in my heart. Plus it's just fun ^_^
*Sigh*...Old games are so much fun. Screw this new gaming generation. Give me a Sega Genesis and some good games and I'll be entertained for weeks.
