That story caught me completely off-guard earlier today...I heard someone mention it in passing to one of their friends in my personal health class, and when I looked it up after class online I was in total shock...so depressing. It sucks that that kind of stuff still happens, but I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. I guess I should just be thankful I don't know anyone that goes to Virginia Tech, although as I read that it almost sounds cruel.

I had a good weekend. I spent the whole two days at my girlfriend's house, it actually turned out to be a lot of fun. We went to T.G.I.Friday's for dinner Saturday night, but other than that we mostly stayed at her house and just hung out. I played Guiter Hero 2 a bunch and some Halo 2...it was cool.
So...yeah, good weekend, I think this week'll be easy so w00t. Except I have to give some stupid presentation thing in my personal health class, but that shouldn't be too bad...it only has to be like three minutes long and I can read the entire thing from a sheet of paper if I want.
So...yeah, nothing else to say at the moment. Check out ZephyrStar's new video, it kicks so much ass I can't even adequately describe it. Original 3D animation FTW!

Finally done with Iron Chef

Yeah, didn't get the book I wanted from my girlfriend, but I got a similar one - has a bunch of pretty pictures. See though, I'm more interested in stars and nebulae and galaxies...I really find most of the planets to be boring, and there are something like ~200 pages dedicated to the planets in the book she got me, with ~40 dedicated to extra-solar stuff. The book I want is way thicker, with a shitload of information - which is what I REALLY care about - so I think I'm just gonna have to fork over the $50+ myself instead. Not that I really mind, understand - it's something I REALLY want, but I can't say I wasn't a little disappointed :(
Anyway, new updates on that nifty blog I mentioned a few entries back, if you haven't checked it out since I posted it.
Our little Iron Chef tournament went well yesterday. It was me, omegaevolution, and viper1255. We all went head-to-head for the rights to naming the studio a bunch of us are making. It was the second round, the first one happened a while back. I think I did alright - I'd be surprised if I won, but I had a lot of fun doing it, and in either case I'm really just eager to get our studio's site up so I can move all my video info, my blog, all that crap over there and get on our forums. I'm excited about all that. I'll also put up my Iron Chef videos after we get a name for our studio, more for the sake of fulfilling the .org's main purpose than because I think they're any good.
Anyway, that's all from me for now. It's the weekend, and I have very little homework, so that's pretty awesome. Later fools.

In other news, it's my and my girlfriend's one-year anniversary! Horrah. I got her a Build-A-Bear and we're hanging out this weekend 'cause the week's too busy. I think she got me a book called "The Universe" which has an assload of pictures from space, as well as lots of interesting information. I REALLY hope that's what she got me; I mentioned it once and told her it was $50 and that I wanted it, and then she was telling me that the gift she got me was supposed to be $50 but she got it on sale for $18, so I'm thinking that's what it is and I REALLY hope that's what it is. Because I really, REALLY want it.
