What kind of argument is that, 'got you all talking dur hurr'. POPULAR things get people talking too. Guess it's just a popular video with no intrinsic value, huh?
Sorry, my wording was unclear. Allow me to revise: It got you all arguing over whether or not it's art. I'm not saying whether the video is good or bad, but it certainly fulfills the criteria for artistic-ness. -

Fluffy Kittens and Rainbows gets my vote for Most Artistic, hands down. I've seen other videos cause bigger uproar, but anyone who doesn't vote FK&R for Most Artistic is clearly missing the point. It got you all talking, didn't it? Several of you got pretty passionate about it and it caused a total upheaval on the journals. If that isn't AMV art then I don't know what is.
And if it wins, I'm just going to sit back and laugh because then the flood of "VCAs are just a popularity contest durhurr" is going to rain down as some sort of justification for the unfair results, and everyone who does that will be people who participated in the VCAs in some way and only I will see the irony. But it'll make you all feel good about yourselves because at least you'll have found a way to discount the results altogether, and the world will keep turning and the drama will hibernate for another ten months.
But it will all be funny to ME. -
