I miss school. Mostly I just miss the Internet connection straight to my own computer, but I am starting to miss my college friends (I don't really have many friends back home, I've come to realize), and even my classes. I'm eager to learn stuff, I feel useless here at home.
Which leads me to my next point - I've come to another realization that I really love learning stuff. I wanna learn physics primarily, but I also have passing interests in seemingly random things like mechanics and zoology. I want to do a lot with my life - I want to LEARN a lot. That's fulfilling, right?
I also kinda want to become an environmentalist. It's not something I know a lot about, but recently I've become very concerned with the state of the world's ecosystems and stuff, and I wanna DO something about it. Anyone else ever feel that way? Like, you're concerned about the world's problems, but you don't know enough to actually help? That's how I feel. I never thought I'd become a tree-hugger...but yeah, soon enough I will be.
ANYthing's better than just sitting at home or working all day. There's just not enough time to do everything I want...and it doesn't help that my girlfriend feels the need to see me after work six out of the seven days a week. I have no fucking time to do what I want, and as I type this I'm getting more and more frustrated.
GOD. FORGET IT. This journal went in the completely wrong direction >_<

The History Channel is so badass. Seriously, I found my new favorite channel. I can turn it on at any point in the day and be glued to the screen for the next several hours. I'm especially fond of Ice Road Truckers (which sounds like a stupid show, but is actually incredibly interesting), Dogfights (awesome show that uses CGI to simulate historical aerial and naval dogfights), and The Universe (a show that focuses on a different aspect of the universe each episode; for example, the recent one I saw was about the Moon, the next one's gonna be about Jupiter, etc.).
The Universe is obviously my favorite, what with me aspiring to be an astronomer and all, but I have yet to watch a bad show on there. And it's educational, so I don't feel like a total waste watching it! Yeah, it's real good stuff...and it always gets in the way of what I was otherwise planning on doing. Like tonight, I wanted to go watch some AMVs on my computer, maybe play some video games or surf the Internet or something, but I flipped past The History Channel and Dogfights was on, so I had to watch that. Then immediately after that was over The Universe started and I caught the first half of the episode I'd seen earlier this week about the Moon ('cause I missed the first half last time)...at that point I had to force myself to turn the TV off.
...Ahh...I love learning stuff :)
