Heaven on Earth

I found the BEST store today. EVER. I went out to Panera Bread for dinner with my girlfriend, and it's in kind of a strip mall. There's a used CD store and a Best Buy that I always go to whenever I drive down that way. Well, today I looked over and spotted a book store as well.
Now, I love book stores. LOVE them. I could spend all day in a book store.
So of course, I had to check it out. It wasn't even a chain store like Borders or Barnes and Noble, it was a used book store, which was even BETTER news because I've been wishing that there was a used book store around my house for quit some time, but I've never been able to find one.
So we went in, and I was in heaven. There were books that woulda cost me $20+ for like $7.00. There were used paperbacks for half the retailer's price (still expensive for books that probably cost about $1 to make, but still).
And while that's all fine and dandy, and no less than I was expecting, I didn't expect them to have computer games.
Used computer games.
Old
computer
games
...!
They had games that were in those big boxes. The OLD boxes. The boxes you can't find in stores anymore. I almost cried, I swear. And the kicker? They have Final Fantasy VIII for the PC, in its original box. For FIVE FUCKING DOLLARS. I spent over $30 for my copy, and you can't find that game on PC online for less than $40 these days. There's a new copy on Amazon going for $100. And I don't care that I already have the game, I am going to buy it, just for the sake of having the box and saying I only paid five bucks for it.
But man, they have other games that you just can't find in stores anymore. Baldur's Gate II, Icewind Dale II, Age of Empires (the ORIGINAL), Septerra Core, Fantasy General (which has the old "K-A" rating on it)...I almost ejaculated over the entire collection, it was so amazing. And the prices were just so mind-bogglingly cheap. They even have Far Cry, a relatively new PC game, for $4.95. Cha-ching, amirite?
And, to cap it all off, they have old copies of gaming magazines like Game Informer or EGM. AND old strategy guides. I saw one in there for Deus Ex. I cannot WAIT to go back there and totally raid the place, I have been looking for something like this for an eternity. Greatest store ever.
And that was my excitement for the day.
