Mm, last vid got an op after 18 downloads - must be some sort of record for me considering it's a relatively unknown yaoi anime that I used. Yami no Matsuei, an action vid featuring my least favorite character, Miraki. Needless to say I did it just for the chance to show his friend. ;p I'm a fangirl. Link:

I'm thinking about a pwp bishonen vid - namely pretty guys looking sad but hopeful, set to a romantic/angst type song about how a guy goes on after some sort of breakup. The song is rather repetitive so I wouldn't use it for a single anime, and though it would have a few pairings for the lyric sync, mostly it would be a fanservice bishonen vid. I've been meaning to make one of those. The bonus is that I think the song may be a new one to the org (the artist as well), and it has beautiful echoes that will make for some interesting effects.
Other news, I'm working on a Night Walker amv - same style action as my YnM vid. I want to get this out of my system before I go back to medium paced and slower editing, and Nightwalker has that 'slow dramatic' type action in it - meaning either speed the footage or have some mix of clips for fast paced music. I'll opt for the latter here. The song's a common one, but that's not really important - it fits well, and the timing should be interesting. ^_^
I've also noted some very nice quality YYH vids popping up lately, beautiful quality for wmv files. Now if they'd just employ lyric sync it would be great (since the songs are in english, and the creators are english speakers). Still, the action sync is pretty steady, and the quality alone makes it nice. If they keep it up I'll definitely have to update my favorites list - it would be cool to have some great quality yyh vids on there - you can only do so much with subtitled footage. -

I'm working on one of her ideas - that Hiei profile for Disturbed's 'Prayer'. I managed to work it into a vid that won't require filler (my old idea of making it into a multi-anime vid for Hiei and Kenshin) - just Hiei and Yukina. Since I can't be trusted around Kurama, he won't show up in this vid - one glimpse of him and we know it would have hints of shonen ai. This vid will be solely Hiei and his cynical feeling of not being good enough for Yukina. Any hints of other things will take some digging to catch.

The only problem/catch is that the vid will be from *Hiei's* point of view. I'm sure most fans know that Yukina doesn't hate anyone (her words to Kuwa) and that she'd be more than happy to learn who Hiei is. But Hiei doesn't see it that way - as far as he's concerned she's better off without knowing who he is since he's tainted (his words to Kurama - "it's enough" that he watches over her, and his words to Yusuke - "she doesn't know this, and she doesn't need to know this." So it's a cynical profile that makes him out to be some sort of danger to her (when we all know he'd make her very happy if he'd just tell her) - I find that angsty, but appropriate.
Deadline: Probably sometime next week barring complications. I'll try to get it into mpg format so quality will most likely suffer, but it's worth it for the accessibility. ^_^ I hate denying the YYH fans, especially where Hiei and Kurama are concerned. -

My new dbz vid is out. Of course, dwchang just had to diss newbies for making dbz vids right as I was uploading it. Looks like I'll be 'forever noob' as long as I keep making vids for this anime. ^_^ Not that I care.
I think I'm going to upload my Marathon vid. The way things are going, I'll never get around to it if I don't do it soon. And I don't know what I'm going to do now - I think YYH is calling me, and I have a few projects I've been meaning to finish for it. But I really want to do another shonen ai vid. The action vids are getting too boring to edit (though I did have fun with the last one). What I really want is a slow vid. In Love was the last really slow vid I did, and it would be a nice break in routine. I think my action editing is getting quicker with each vid - much more and I'll have it down to where it only takes 10 hrs to do the straight cuts on a 4 minute vid. That would be very very bad. O.O
I mean, what if I just want a clean vid, no effects? I'd have it done in less than a day, and previewing only takes about 5hrs - 2 hrs for the changes if I have to make any (I'm getting really good at making the cuts without previewing ^"^ ). I'd still have the 12hrs for producing/compressing/uploading - but the vid would be finished far too quickly. I have to find some way to make vids slower or I'll get in seriuos trouble here.
I have 37 amvs to make in the next 2 months (my last appointment set me up for November as the new deadline, so I have more time than I'd thought). And the vid #9 to remaster and finally upload. And I have 20 projects wanting to be finished, more than 50 ideas that I'd love to make. Picking which ones to do is going to suck. ~_~
