India's gone...I miss her already.
But she liked my new vid. ^_^ I get to rack up another 'org first' for the only 3x4 vid listed - and the only one I've ever seen anywhere. There's something to be said for the old "if you can't find it, make it yourself" bit. I'm so content with it I don't know if I'll go back to what I was working on before or take a break and start in on my review list. I think I'll do the latter till I get an editing bug and jump back in.
I'm up to vid 75 - 3/4 the way there. ^_^;; It's taking a lot longer than I'd ever thought it would. -

We rarely celebrate Christmas on 'Christmas' day, it's always the night before. So...it should be over now. Unfortunately, I still have to go to my Grandpa's house tomorrow morning, but it can't be helped. I'll be driving my sister's car - which isn't her car anymore. I guess keeping it there will keep her from knowing where it is since she never visits them, even when she *had* a car. Yeah, she showed up yesterday, so that mess is over. She has no keys to the house, or car (since it's not hers), and she'll be 18 in two days, so no worries about her anymore. Surprisingly, aside from her whines asking for 'her' keys, there was no mention of her at the family 'get-together.' That's good, it went off smothly and I actually got a good present this year.
I did get some nice supplies for my kitchen - seems they decided I needed that more than anything fun. But that's fine, I can buy my own 'fun' things. >.< Still, I now have the GW series. I've been *dying* to get this so I can make a vid for an old songfic of mine. I can hardly wait, and finally getting to watch the series in Japanese (versus my dubbed tapes) is excellent. I had no idea Heero's voice was always so soft, and he's downright 'timid' sounding when he's with Trowa. Certainly explains a lot of the cliche's I'd been wondering about. That's going to take some time to get used to, but I still like the Japanese. Now I just need to sell the old tapes and 3 dvds I'd already had for the series. ^_^;
Anyway, I expect to put my current vids on hold. No way I can resist doing something with this series now that I finally have it all. There are way too many stories I've been wanting to watch for these characters, I have to make them or I'll never see them (I've been waiting 3 yrs and still haven't found any, so making them myself really does sound like the only option).
But that'll be later. I'm picking up India Friday. ^_^ I can't remember if I was supposed to meet her at 12 or 1, but I'll bring a book just in case I get there early. I don't care. We'll probably go through my new vids, and the ones in my download folder first. I know she's going to love the vids I've kept. Should keep us busy for a good week before I have to give her back. ;p
Which means, I may not be on much. I'll catch up after she's gone. -

At least this year. My sister has been missing since the 8th, so Christmas is officially screwed this year. If she shows up, it's going to be hell with rants about her chosen pastime and the car (she's a minor and it isn't hers) - if she doesn't show up, mom is going to be depressed and it's going to suck. So either way, it's going to be hell. And the horrid thing doesn't turn 18 until the day after christmas (her birthday) - nothing can be settled till then so any way you look at it, it would be better if we could just not get together this year. I told the rest of them that, but they keep saying 'We can't let her ruin the holiday'. Right. Either way she's going to ruin it - it's already ruined. I just wish we could fastforward till two days after Christmas. Then she'll be a legal adult and it won't matter what she gets into.
I just wish she could have waited 2 weeks before doing this. With everyone getting together for christmas, it's going to be the biggest blowout we've had since the last full family reuinion. All I know is that I'd like to drag the brat down to the courthouse and turn her in myself rather than waiting for her to show up again. She's ruining everyone, and I already know what she'll say if she does have the nerve to show up - she'll act like it's not a big deal. Because to her, nothing is unless she isn't getting her way.
Eh, just thinking about it makes me sick. It's only one more week, but the waiting is disgusting. If she has the nerve to cry because no one feels sorry for her, I'll probably hit her. Now that's a way to remember Christmas. -

I never questioned whether Jbone was a nice guy. He said he enjoyed flaming ignorant noobs, that isn't under debate, he was very open about being an elitist and claimed that the mods were also part of the elitist org crowd. The Mods (at least the one who replied) merely confirmed this by agreing that they were proud to be members of the elitist crowd.
Whether or not they're 'nice' and 'helpful' elitists makes no difference to me. Until this confirmation, any talk about 'elitists' resulted in members saying they didn't exist. Dwchang often said there was no elitism, and other members stood behind him saying there wasn't an elite crowd. But Jbone and the Mod have just proven that there is, and they're proud to be a part of it.
My point? I liked it better when they said they *weren't* elitists - at least then I could pretend they weren't that sort of people. Now that they're admitting it and boasting about it, there's no sense telling me how nice they are as elitists. They're still elitists, and proud of it. -

The scene where Kurama and Yusuke drag Hiei to get his picture taken comes from the tournament special - along with the scene where Koto interviews the four guys before their final fight against team Toguro.
On that note, if anyone knows where I can get a good copy of the other YYH specials, I'd be very grateful. I'm looking for the special where Yusuke dreams that Kurama and Hiei are his bosses - the one with Kurama and Hiei in suits (I'm sure you've seen the pics from that, Hiei wearing a human suit...hard to miss). It's a parody that I hear come with one of the music tracks.
And I'm looking for the music specials. The only one I know of for sure is Kuramas and involves (among other things), a pic of Youko Kurama with his arms wrapped around human Kurama, Kurama sitting on a bench near some doves (or white pigeons), him running through what looks like a forest, and him falling back into some water. I've seen gifs from his, but I know there are supposed to be at least two music specials, for him and one for Hiei.
Anyone who knows where I might buy these, please let me know. I have trouble navigating Japanese sites (can't read kanji ~_~ ) so I'm having a lot of trouble finding them. Price doesn't really matter, so if anyone has good copies they'd like to sell for an exhorbitant profit, feel free. I want these specials. :(
