Ever feel like you're missing something?
I come back after being online last night and go straight to 'edit my videos' to see if a request went through. Then I go to 'my profile' to check on the file size of a video I'm reformatting. And I do a double-take. Since when is your profile pic and info on your 'edit' page. Then it hits me - everything is public except the number of downloads.

I don't know if I should be happy or worried. But it's actually kind of interesting. Good and bad possibilities come to mind. Now I can look at my favorite editors and see whether or not the star scores I gave them fit their averages, and which vids of theirs are 'favored' on whole compared to which ones I like best. Then I think of other points.
Those skimming over my profile should be able to pinpoint which vids others liked best very easily. This is good in a way, but it means they are less likely to get the best videos since those don't always have the best scores. My Denial vid for instance is quite lower than my average score, yet is my best and most detaled (editing wise) video.
On the other hand, vindictiveness will have a ready target, easily knowing exactly which vids to download and give ones to. Of course, if they were donators they could have done that via a super search by just plugging in the member name.
Then the question arrises - is this sudden public showing a 'donator-only' aspect? I have no way of knowing since no one on the forum has mentioned the change yet. Is it just a fluke, some accident? I doubt it. Do I like it? I'm not sure yet.
But it's definitely a big change that would have been nice to get some warning of - aka some sort of announcement or just a little note. Maybe it's coming or already been done and I just missed it. Time to go surf the forum again. <.< -

Yep, after getting locked off the site over the weekend (I managed to do one review, then couldn't get the server to open at all) - I went ahead and did my little Uranus/Neptune video. It's not the dance vid, that one will involve more characters - especially Saturn (my favorite after Neptune and Uranus - in that order). This is a 'Romeo and Juliet' type romance, at least, that's what I was aiming at. I just wanted something sweet and angsty, and that's how it went.
It's called 'Star Crossed' and ranks in at about 34mbs as an mpg - not too bad quality wise. ^_^ And oddly enough, either the song is listed under some different name, or it's never been used before. I think it's strange since it's such a simple but touching song - and perfect for a shoujo ai video. ^.^ Happy 'Mina.
Next up, I hope to do a Wolf's Rain video - but I might do I'll/CKBC - I'm still torn on what song to use for that anime, so it'll probably be either Wolf's Rain or that dance vid. I have an appointment tomorrow morning so I'll probably start ripping once I get home (I'll be too droned to do anything requiring thought ;p ).
