Claiming your QC's
2007-01-03 08:26:38
I'm starting a new weekly feature. It's claim your QC's, as the org still keeps them anonymous if you don't sign. Here we go :
"Dammit, my PC's so unworthy, couldn't open, sorry:p"
"hard to get correct playback"
Hello, anonymous buddies. You should know there's now an indirect Xvid link up.
"I was gonna say! you're last parts are ALL f*ed up!! lmao!"
This is my first genuinely funny QC. I'd like to know who left it, so we can discuss it's meaning.
"Impressive effort. And syllable sync rules."
Thank you, and who are you? I'd like to ask what you think of my next, to measure my progress.
Any of you guys, I would appreciate it if you pm'd me.

Anybody's who's downloaded my latest should know the version was messed up, and has been replaced by a correct one.
Now to go drown my sorrow in alcohol...

Politically Correct?----Video Profile : Melancholy

All right, so this is where you get the dirty stuff. Namely for anybody who's interested, the real reasons why I actually made the vid :
-I was just tired of seeing every Haruhi vid focusing nearly entirely on Haruhi, when one of the main strenghs of the series was it's all-around awesome cast. She's just not the reason why I was watching in the first place, and I have to get around to making a Yuki profile sometime. I mean, the whole point of the series is the comparison between Haruhi knowing nothing and the others tiptoeing around her with the superficial first layer of the series revealing something much deeper then you expected out of it, right? There's two points of view, and two ways to interpret the story. It seems everybody's very content with sticking to the first layer though, and making these happy-go-lucky, "Haruhi vision" vids. Think of this one as a "Kyon vision" vid.
-Everybody seems to think Kyon is so cool because he confronts the supernatural with abnormal calm. Now what I find hilarious are the tics that you notice when watching the series a second time, that show exactly how freaked out he actually is. The tea drinking scene in Melancholy is meant to illustrate this.
-I was really eager, from the moment I saw the brilliant first episode of the series, to try my hand at my own parody of horrible filmmaking. that's what the first scene's about. There's a fine line though, cause what I love about the episode is the fact it takes you two minutes to realize this is completely unprofessional, but on purpose.
This was made in 2 weeks, and thus is still not the big project. That one'll probably be my retirement vid. Hate to talk about this again, but seeing as I start college in August, in a city I've never seen, in a country I haven't lived in for ten years, I just can't see myself finding free time for AMV's, at least for the first few months :p.
For the hell of it though, I'll ask : Has anybody among us tried keeping up this hobby while at the same time starting college in a different country?
Allow me to go on a another tangent about retirement : I read the journals of my friends, and those that entertain me. Some people obvously write this stuff for personal therapy, just by looking at the number of people who say they're retiring every year and don't give the slightest explanation why. That's actually interesting.
Thanks everybody, for a great year. Wow, that was random.
