So Harry Potter was actually a very interesting film, not a lot of action but very well directed and acted. I personally call it hormones on film but that's what you get at that age and the film beforehand (Order of the Phoenix) was really about teen anger and how adults just don't listen to you. So I can see why kids like the films.
The scene where the girl gets jostled about in the snow and then levitates up was soooo well shot and soooooooo creepy, it my mine and my wife's hair stand on end. But we came out feeling satisfied about watching it and felt that there was a great combination of action/story/dialogue/comedy and spooks to last us a while.
They are showing it this weekend at the Drive-in so I think I will go it alone in my Smart. - 2009-07-19 10:08:22 @Beth - You're just making me more excited about the movie now. I may see it twice, who knows. I hope it's not going to be like when I was 13 and saw Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. I saw it 6 times at the theater, it got so bad that the usher no longer asked to see my ticket when I went in, he just waved me through. O.o .
