    LOL...thanks mysterious QC person. While I've been on somewhat of a hiatus recently, I do have another vid in the works...actually a couple...but only one past the 1 minute mark in the editor. :P However, a comedy it is NOT. I'm back to feeling dark and dramatic, and I don't foresee myself doing anything in the comedy genre again for a bit. When I get the urge to do comedy, things like "Dare To Be Anime" and "AMV Torture" are the results... O.O My sense of humor is...well...a bit warped, so I keep it to a minimum. ;)

    Anywho...speaking of this vid, it got 1st Place/Best In Show at Anime Iowa this past weekend, which is the con I went to. Yes, I went *SQUEE*. I had 4 vids total entered (also in the lineup were "The Mark of My Sins," "Someday," and "Tanked Samurai") - all got a decent crowd response, though "Tanked Samurai" was the most mixed...audience started off with a groan, but ended up cheering by the end of the vid...which makes me think I might throw it in as a WTF at Detour next year just for giggles.

    The rest of the con was an awesome experience, and just the kind of motivation I needed to get back into the swing of things. Got a chance to talk to Greg Ayers at length...and here's a good story...I was wearing my loverly Abel Nightroad tshirt (provided to me by Jubbers...who I love and adore for taking the time to make it :D)...and I walk up to Greg to have him sign my Sam7 dvd with Heihachi on the front and he looks at my shirt and his eyes about pop out of his head and he's like "OMG, nice shirt!!" The rest of the conversation went something like this:

    Greg: I've got something that'll make you drool.

    Raven: I'm listening. (grinning from ear to ear)

    Greg: It's in my bag. (reaches into his bag and pulls out the first 4 eps of the english dub of Trinity Blood on a dvd)

    Raven: Can I lick it?

    Greg: O.O

    Raven: Sorry, I'm a big TB fangirl.

    Greg: Well, then I should tell you that I'm going to show this after closing ceremonies tomorrow.

    Raven: SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

    Greg: O.O

    And after that we actually talked about the series and I got a pic of us snapped. :D

    So yeah...I got to see the first 4 eps of Trinity Blood in english...and ZOMG...just...Z-O-M-G. I'd elaborate more...but...well, I wanna keep some of the suspense...but I HIGHLY advise peeps that like horror-esque anime to check this series out. Seriously.

    And yeah...after this past weekend and all the squee'n...I have next to no voice. lmao. And of course, I spent WAY too much money...but man do I have a lot of anime to show for it. :P

    I should probably turn some of what I bought into amvs now...so I'll catch ya laters!! :D

    Ironic how the vid that I sent to Otakon was "Tanked Samurai"...key word being "Tanked..." :P
