Okay, so I had this big editing breakthrough, right? A breakthrough that really tightened up the first verse/chorus of "Mark of My Sins." So, there I am editing, got it just the way I want it, jump up and down for joy that it looks SO much better than what I had previously, and proceed to the next section I needed to focus on.
In scrolling through the timeline, I come to the 2nd chorus...and realize that the edits I just put in the first chorus were the exact same clips I used in the 2nd. One would think I would have noticed that. Turns out what I did was delete 2 clips from the 1st chorus that didn't need deleting...
But, I was so happy with how the new edits turned out that I now deleted the clips from the 2nd chorus and replaced them with the ones from the first that I accidentally got rid of. Had to reverse their order to make sure they went with the effect I had planned there, but oh well...still looks good, if not a little better.
Moral of the story? Pay attention when you're editing. That, and I'm about 1/2 as dumb as I look. :P -

To anyone who's curious...
Judge gets my vote for Rookie of the Year...hands down. I didn't even nominate anyone else.
Comedy - Date Rape all the way. I can't believe how much I laughed (my stomach still hurts). So deliciously wrong, it's right.
Video of the Year - There's only one choice for me, and that's Revenge. Cowboy Bebop and Wolf's Rain meets Sin City. Probably one of *the* most original vids I've ever seen.
Okay, I nominated a few others in their respective categories, but the choices I listed above are the only ones I'm actively pimping because they're *really* deserving. :P -

Oy...I have at least one more set of final edits to do on "The Mark of My Sins," and I've been avoiding them like the plague.
Why, you ask?
Because I'm scared that I might actually be *done* with the video after I do them, I think. And then there's the nightmare of encoding (my LEAST favorite part of doing AMVs).
Then there's the public backlashing it'll get once I upload it, because it isn't anything fancy...an improvement for me, yes, but nothing spectacular like what I've seen up for VCA nominations. Damn you people and your adobe premiere/after effects nonsense. Effects do not a video make! ::wonders when she turned into Yoda::

There are days I really am thankful for the multiple personalities...they keep each other in line. ;) -

Okay, just realized that I was bitchin' cuz someone spelled the new vid on the block incorrectly, then in my next line said it was "waaayyy to cold here for my liking."
Yeah, I'm not a hypocrite or anything. :P -

Let's see...brought home a small heaping of new anime today including the first volumes of a couple of series I've been meaning to start on. The local Suncoast is closing, so 20% off all anime = I spent way too much money. Did get the whole series of Samurai Deeper Kyo for $75 though...pretty sweet.
Fixed one of the effects in "The Mark of My Sins" AMV using my PWT photoshop (aka irfranview). Hehehe...now it doesn't look half as cheesy. Just got to rethink/tighten the beginning a little more and that one clip at the end that's too pretty for me to get rid of, but too long to leave as is (damn you people and your ADD).
And WTF? New vid on the block isn't even spelled correctly!
Not to mention it's waaayyy to cold here today for my liking.
And crap...gotta nominate for VCAs tonight...
Pretty sure there will be no sleep for me tonight. LOL
