  • Older = less work? HUH???? 2006-05-02 19:06:41 Matt - uhhhhhh...as someone who's a couple years past what most around here consider "AMV Retirement Age"...let me tell you that I *wish* all I had to worry about was homework. lol

    I work an 11 hour day Monday thru Thursday. That equates to me getting out of bed, going to work, coming home, checking email and going right back to bed (sometimes like today I make a quick pit stop on the org and journal something or write an op...today was slow so I got off a bit early from the job so I can do just that).

    My editing is done on the weekends, in my "spare" time. When I'm not cleaning house or running errands and being a responsible adult (did I just call myself responsible??? lmao).

    I guess that also answers why things are so quiet on my end...my real life is intruding on my amv life...someone make it stop!! lol :P

    But there will be a new Dr. Raven Production on the org here in the next week or so. That's everyone's fair warning to run and hide NOW. ;)

  • Sleep? What's that?? 2006-04-29 11:32:42 Well that was...interesting...anyone else ever edit while they're sleeping??

    I called it a day yesterday at about 9 at night...logged off the org, shut the editor down, and went to bed. Slept a whole 4 hours. Then got up and promptly spent until 6 this morning fine tuning stuff and screwing around. Went to bed again.

    10 am rolls around, and here I am completely awake again...

    My question is...why can't I have this awake feeling during the workweek on 4 hours of sleep at a time?? lmao

    And now I have to figure out a looping sequence that's driving me mad...and fill in the last few seconds at the end. Ending's all figured out...but that damned looping sequence...creative block city. Judge suggested a brain muffin for that...but I think my cats ate them all when I wasn't looking...will a Cadbury Egg suffice in its place?

    Meh...maybe it'll come to me as I'm finishing and timing the rest...

    Oh, and I'm about to check out Sub0's latest...excitement ensues!! :D

    And Jubbers (if you haven't left for your con yet) - have a fun filled anime day!!

  • My ass has taken the form of my seat cushion.... 2006-04-28 20:47:10 Rendering the latest version of the comedy now...still just a bit more to fill in, but me thinks I'll be doing that tomorrow...cuz I can't feel my butt anymore. Believe it or not, I've been at this all day. It's been a while since I've put in over 12 hours on an amv...ahhhhh...and now I remember why I edit in small stretches...lmao.

    Jub - wow...you gots more guts than I do. Raven + children = highly explosive radioactive substance. ;) Don't get me wrong...I love kids...but only the ones that come from parents who actually *parent*. lol Glad the party was fun! :D

    Rina - yeah...what can I say? I've got all this gutter minded potential...and it's going to waste!!!!!!

    So, anywho...I think I'm gonna call it a night here shortly. Just in case I don't make another entry...
