Katie - man, that sucks. Cuz that vid is just plain amazing, and awesome...and all the other good words that start with the letter "A."
Here's hoping that they *do* improve on things...with AKon being as big and popular as it is, one would think they would want to do things in the best way possible. I feel bad for the people who's vids got cut, or suffered technical difficulties. It's such a feeling of helplessness...you've put your creative "baby" into someone else's hands, only to see them shake it like a nanny on crack.
I am with you though in regards to the 15 seconds of black before and after the vids...what the heck was up with that? I didn't understand it at the time I entered, and still don't. All I know is that I had to reload all my clips and render a brand new version JUST for AKon...pain in the arse...
And then they forgot to put my vid on the ballot? Now THAT'S funny! lmao :D
I feel like I should write them a letter...and I wasn't even there. lol :P -

Woot for the AKon gang! Jubbers, Katie, Rina, Scob...sounds like it was a blast, wish I could have been there. And from the looks of things, your vids kicked arse too! Schweet! I think I've dl'd all the premieres for the time being...you guys should expect op and qc fairies flittering about in the next couple days or so...
...it would be sooner, 'cept this Yuri track is calling...hehehehehe...
I got all my adobe stuff loaded onto the new rig...was playing with it a bit yesterday...yeeesh. It'll definitely take some getting used to - the progs are certainly not as user friendly as Ulead, IMO.
Which brings me to a tough call...while installing Ulead onto the new rig, I was browsing their website and it looks as though they've released an upgrade to the software I already have called 10 Pro. From the overview, it looks like this upgrade would make my Adobe software almost obsolete...the thing that looked most impressive was the addition of 7 video tracks for multiple overlay work, as well as new effects additions and the ability to render in HD.
Sooooooo...I may just drop the 60 bucks it takes to upgrade my current software and see what it has to offer...
Anywhos...I must run errands now...con entries to drop in the mail and grocery shopping to do...my work schedule is so screwed up this week...today off, work the next 4 days, off the weekend, then back to my normal Mon-Thurs routine...jeebus. Why can't I be one of the lucky ones who works from home? lol

My sincerest condolances...
I have 6 cats and am a licensed vet tech myself (when I'm not playing on the org, anyway). I completely understand.
It's amazing how pets are more than just animals...to me, they're also family. I'll probably never have kids...so that's what my pets are to me - my furkids. :)
And to go from runt of the litter to 20 lb wonder is a testament to how much your kitty was loved and provided for.
