Onto my share.
I agree fullheartedly.
The sad thing is, I'm one of the people who contributed to that noob-flow.
And what's even WORSE, is that I still encourage the people who abuse the local hosting to use what they have, don't take it for granted, and keep editing if it's really their passion.
But you're right. 90% of them don't have editing as a passion. They just want to jump on the fucking bandwagon.
And 99% wanting to see their favorite anime paired to their favorite song? I can honestly say I've never done that particularly(lack of ideas), but I have made some videos with total neglect to editing.
Being some odd person which a lot of new people look up to(I have no idea why o_o) they tend to idolize 80% of my videos. The old, shitty ones.
If you've seen my profile recently, you know I've just grabbed those shitty videos and plucked them all off ANY type of hosting. I plan to do that with some local videos as well, but Phade doesn't seem to be answering my emails about deleting the videos.
The reason I ripped them all off the 'net, was partly because of the idolization of SHIT pieces of work(Some people will look at those, say it's awesome, and then make one following in my footsteps-- producing more shit) but also in part to the noob ops I kept getting that were all 9's and 10's.
COME ON PEOPLE. THE VIDEOS I MAKE ARE SHIT.
I agree the donut is the source of all this trouble, and I think that there should be a limit on when you can use the donut, or you can't use it at all if you haven't donated/paid.
If they put a limit on the donut, say, you can only host your 6th and later videos, then you'll probably just get people who used to be like me, producing a video every fucking hour.(Even though I didn't know any better at the time). Or other, more sinile people, who will just make 5 new pages with fake videos, so they can host their first video.
Personally, I am a fan of Phade's first idea for the donut. When I first joined the org, he was taking surveys on how to pay for hosting.
I would like it if we just paid some amount to Phade/the donut for each video we host on the donut depending on file size.
Let's say... 10 dollars a video. Every vid you want to host on the donut, you pay 10 dollars. I'm perfectly okay with that, and I personally thought that was a wonderful idea.
Hell, I would have paid it. Of course, it'd be 10 dollars every year, or month. Or something like that. That'd work out, I think.
Then there's only allowed to use the donut if you donated. I think downloading vids off the donut is fine if you haven't donated, but UPLOADING-- You should donate before you're allowed to.
Those are just my personal opinions.
Now I know how old granparents feel. "Don't take what you have for granted! In my day. we had to give up an arm and a leg for this!" they say as they wave their cane and you shake your head not believing a word they say.
Unfortunetly that's how it is these days.
And remember-- The donut just sped things up. This was going to come eventually. As I've been saying constantly in the forums(or used to) it's only a matter of time before the donut runs out of space.
But do you all listen? No.
Then what happened?
The carrot ran out of space. How long did that take?
Next time listen to me.
Sure, the donut has ~1 TB, but by next year it will be full. Possibly sooner.
Then what will you do?

Yeah, so the story goes that I hated the stupid banners that had nothing to do with AMVs, so I made my own with paint.
Sure, some of them look like crap, but after some tender love and care, they all came out okay. I ended up with 24 banners. However, I only think I picked 6 to upload... Or something like that.
I had to resize a few times, because the way I did it at first was horrid. =s
But, it's all good now.
Many thanks to the "Wierd Screencaps" thread, again, and also Wuwu, my bitch, for resizing some stuff when I got tired and/or lazy.
Well, be on the lookout for SQ-looking banners. I'm not going to tell you which ones they are.... -
Well, I'm at school... and have about 45 minutes to write a journal entry....

Yeah. Boredom!!!
But these iMacs are cool. I COULD work on my portrait of SQ(the other main character in "Shinpi"... Don't ask.) but I all ready worked on it today and frankly, I hate it. It looks so.... Bleh. All I have to do is the skin, though, so I'll force myself to finish it Mondya or something.
I showed my portrait of Len to Layne(the illustrator of "Shinpi". I'm the writer...) And he was all "Dude! the hair looks curly!!" And it's not supposed to be curly. Anyways, I think he hates the picture. But blah. I'm only drawing one panel fo the comic. He can live.
Okay, so.... I still hurt from Kendo. Yesterday, we had another extended class, but thank god it wasn't conditioning again! Anyway, we just practiced forms and akedio(grapling) and self defense against daggers and bats and stuff.
Everybody knows I go crazy with attacking other then the sword. I mean, I can whoop my sensei's ass pretty good(without a sword). But since I'm all attacking and never stopping and stuff(my defense is sooo weak! ;_; )I get tired out easily. So, pretty soon, when it's my turn to defend, I start falling over and stuff while I get out of the way.
And then Allen, man is he wierd with his cuts! He was a level One, so he's only allowed to use the dagger(no bat), and he is SOOO wierd. it's like he's TRYING to be cool. I mean, he goes and flips the dagger everywhere and doing things that we were not practicing. That really pissed me off, but it also gave me a good work out, I guess.
Then when it was my turn to attack against him, I was like a cat toy. Man, he invents his own attacking manubers but GAH! is he good at his throws! Anyway, I just about spilled my guts on the mat last night. Through my mouth. Seriously. =s
I can STILL hardly walk, and now I have these bruises all over my arms and wrists because of where you're supposed to grab/deflect in Akeido. And since I'm so offensive, I swing hard, so I basically injure myself. =s
But this is the part that's wierd. Today I noticed, just last period, that inside my elbow(like, the inside, tender spot. I dunno what it's called) there's a red line where I guess my Gi rubbed up against too much, but then... I have this freckle right in the center of it... So it looks like I shot up on Herion!!! Ugh! >_<
But seriously, it does. I hope no one asks "Where's your stash" or something. -_-
That would so suck.
And to top it all off, Gabe just got back from rehab(from heroin abuse) and is coming over to my house today. What he asks me something? 0_0
Also, today I get to go see Freddy vs. Jason! YES! I am SO looking forward to that movie.
Now, onto yesterday(again).
Yesterday, I didn't do anything with Jealousy. Instead, I went and started on that slew of banners I told you about in my last entry. Well, I've completed 17 of them. And I still have a plathora of images and slogans to sort through. Maybe I won't get to Jealousy today. I mean, it's almost done, so it really doesn't matter...
Anyhow, I have to thank in advance(if my banners win or not) to EVERYONE in the "Wierd Screencaps" thread. All my banners(with the exception of two) could not have been made without images from that thread.
I'd especially like ot thank dungeon dice master(I think that's his name) for supplying the image for my most favorite banner I've created(thus far.)
And that's all I have to say, really... Fourth Period is Video Prod, so I get to work on CnC there.... -

Apparently, however visible I was last year, I'm now completely nonexistant. Except during lunch. When I'm suddenly popular. 0.o
Well, don't really want to talk about that. Onto the nitty gritty.
CnC- Coming along nicely, albeit slowly.
Len portrait- DONE! maybe I'll upload it sometime. Didn't turn out as well as I thought it would. in fact, I'm beginning to despise it. But the expiriment witht he hair and skin colors was good.
Jealousy - Almost completely done with the first layer. Otherwise, I only have about 1/4 of the video left to do. Haven't worked on it today, yet.
e-school - Got in it, today. Need ot take a test then get my first assignments....
Can't think of anything else to write, right now....
