Sony Vegas sucks
2012-05-20 00:38:53
Or I should say its just being one giant pain in the ass after the other. It hasn't been liking me a lot lately. I get done a new video and when I encode the vid, it knocks it off sync. When I try to edit, it freezes and crashes. If it doesn't like one codec it doesn't like another. Just lately its been really bitchy.
I haven't really decided if I want to try Vegas 9 again or not or if I'll have the same problems. I've been using Vegas 6. I had versions 7 and 8 at one point. I heard Vegas 10 is just as bad with crashing issues. Vegas 8 was the most stable version I've used.
Theres got to be something better than Vegas out there that I dunno doesn't crash alot? But I do like Vegas's editing menu. Its pretty easy to use. I've used Vegas for the last 10 years but I don't know why its being dumb all of a sudden. I don't know if its Windows Vista related or what.
There is Adobe Premiere but I'm not really found of that ediiting program. I've used it maybe once or twice in the past. Hmmm, guess I'll just keep fighting with Vegas until it decides it wants to work... Out.

2012-05-15 00:15:07
Well I finished watching the anime Area88 and moving onto the OVAs. Had some ideas for an amv for it and decided to check out what songs have been used for it and yup the songs I wanted to use have been well used... So much for that idea. Ok moving on to the next project then. Out.

video trouble abound!
2012-04-10 21:42:38
Well I got back from my trip to Anime Boston and want to start on another video project. I'm going for either KuroKami or Murder Princess which ever one I have less problems with.. But I noticed that the footage in Murder Princess is terrible!
I don't know what kind of encoding method Funi used but damn its probably worse than when I tried working with Tsubasa! I don't know if its a bad field order like the Tsubasa Chronicle dvds were or just really bad interlacing issues. Testing how to get rid of those damn lines using the opening animation as a test but I'm beginning to figure out that its the same problem I had with my Tsubasa video... Out.

back up!
2012-03-29 21:12:49
Well my Tsubasa video is now back up. I'll warn ahead of time and just say there are some small interlacing issues but they are hardly noticeable. If you're annoyed by it just plug it into the VLC media player with the bob deinterlace filter on since it works the best.
The problem occured within the source material its self. Sometime when I have more time to work on it, I'll see if I can deinterlace it. But for now it is what it is. I'm tired of wasting a week's worth of working on it and nothing turning up when I could have gotten another video done. Out.

stupid interlace!
2012-03-24 18:34:58
It seems no matter what I do to this video I can't seem to get rid of the deinterlacing no matter how hard I try. I tried everything and I can't seem to make it go away. I never had this much problem on a vid before don't know why I am now. I'm thinking about giving up on it. The interlace isn't too bad and barely noticeable, but it annoys me knowing that its there. I burned the video to a dvd and had no problems with it, but ripping the vid back onto the comp what happens? Interlace. Even after I select the deinteralcing options. Man what a pain this has been. Ugh I don't know what to do. I'll just say fuck it and call it a day. Out.
