There's nothing quite like walking into a class to discover that you have a test to take.
I didn't think it would really happen more than that one time a few semesters ago (when I was taking digital logic)...but it did.
luckily, the test was pretty easy except for the last part of the first problem (it's econ...so I'm pretty much expecting to lose some points on the definitions again)
dumped what I was doing in C++ as it wasn't working the way I wanted it to...and it would've taken 15 days to complete. So I went back to try to glean more information from the SQL reference I use and it worked. It took postgresql a few minutes to do what my code in C++ would've taken weeks to do.
Last thought for now: started watching EF, and it's interesting so far. Animation and artwork is great, as are the ops and eds. Those who like Kanon, Air, Clannad and the like should be drawn in by this series.

A good day
got the results back from my emf exam. 118/100 (I did the extra credit problem :up:)
got the design for my circuits project done last night, and my group successfully built and tested it tonight.
my super-secret C++ project is progressing nicely...I was getting a bit rusty but this helped refresh my memory.
An all around good day. The biggest surprise was the circuits project. The first one took hours upon hours of guessing at values to try and figure out an appropriate circuit...and to top it all off, that circuit ended up not working. This one went much better (the equations actually worked the way they were supposed to,) though our equipment wasn't performing at 100%
now if only this streak could carry over into tomorrow so I can show my econ professor that the grader who grades the homework doesn't know $h!7

yep, life sucks...how dare it interfere with our hobbies?
Finally got Elfen Lied on Monday (had to have it shipped from back home to school :/ )
So since I got back from class yesterday and now I've managed to watch 9 episodes. I'll probably finish the rest tonight...but I also have an exam that needs studying for.
roommate hasn't come back since leaving on Thursday. It's been nice not having to try and sleep through his snoring, so he can take his time getting back (he skips most of his classes anyway)
Finally, another good weather day for Milwaukee. 60F feels really nice, and it's supposed to be even nicer tomorrow. It's been ages since I could go to class without a coat.
Only bad thing about nice days is that I'm never a stone's throw away from a smoker
New goal: Finish can't accept in time for AWA
last thought for now: still trying to find an internship, between people not replying and my classes...it hasn't been the most successful venture. It also doesn't help that I'm rather shy. -

finally, a relaxing weekend.
Had a little homework, and I gotta get a little more done...but it's not that bad.
clannad extra ep was good
code geass R2 ep 2 was good
I...I got some editing done.
Not only some editing done...but I added another minute to my timeline
I only have 50 more seconds to fill before I start agonizing over every frame.
It was also fun...I can't help but feel that I'm doing something wrong.
dropped the voltage on my cpu, and I still have my 2.5GHz clock speed
(Lowered from 1.4625v to 1.425v IIRC. Supposedly, I'm safe with anything under 1.5V but 1.4 is the recommended max)
lower voltage = lower temps = happier Kariudo

Stride gum doesn't last as ridiculously long as I thought :/
I think bubblicious gum lasts longer (though the pieces are bigger)
gotta do my lab report today (I'm about half done with it now)
next is emf
I might actually have time to relax where I don't continuously think that I have homework to do this weekend.
If that happens, I should try to edit...it's been ages since I've worked on anything besides gateway
