Sitting here at work with nothing to do. I really just want to be at home working on my AMV right now, instead of wasting my time. At least I'm getting paid for sitting around right...
Well just 2 1/2 hours to go and I can head home and start work on it again.

Comedy video still in progress...thinking about the past...

So recently I've been making some good progress on the comedy video. I say I'm about 33% done with it right now. It's just very time consuming going through all the video footage.
It's been something the past couple of years, getting back into editing. I'm really enjoying it and everytime I look up at my wall I see the contest I've competed in. I've had some amazing memories at conventions seeing my videos play. I'm looking forward to making more AMV's here in the future even if it does take me 6 months to get my next one out. However being in a better mood and being able to work on AMV's everyday after I get out of work, I should be able to produce more in 2016.

Well finally back editing again. I'm working on my first comedy AMV in nearly a decade. Figure I would like to change it up and explore different types of AMV editing.
I'm looking forward to the finish product.

Reflecting on the past as an editor...

So over the past several days I've been reflecting on the past as an AMV Editor. Remembering all the good times I have had. Making AMV's with my friends in the basement, spending long hours and working on them non-stop on the weekends. Meeting new editors and helping them out. (Speaking of which I have to get to Bebop0083's beta tonight. Have not forgotten about you.) Entering AMV contests and the hope that maybe your video is good enough to make the cut. If not I'm rediscovering that fire I had as a young editor. It's been a long process over the past year trying to rediscover things and the passion I had for making these videos. I truely think Evolution was my first step back into editing the way I was in 2006. It used animes that I loved and was a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
Speaking with my current studio members and doing all of this planning and interacting has brought back a lot of the fun I had in the past. It feels great supporting each other and talking about random things during our skype meetings.
Here's to the future and many more great memories to come.

So I'm hoping I'll be able to work on my AMV again this weekend. I've been extremely stressed at work recently and have had no motivation what so ever. However, things are going better and the stress seems to be lifiting a little bit. Hoping to have my new AMV done for the Pro contest soon.
