  • Have you ever... 2006-11-03 01:06:44 Well I finally got a nice solid day of work on my new amv again today. After three weeks of doing college work. While I was working on the video today I had one of my friends in the basement here and made a joke about what scene I should use. I thought no that wouldn't work. If so it would be wrong. After dropping the scene in just for laughs we found out with some tweaking to it that it would actually work. This is the second time that this has happened in this amv. Maybe I should joke around more often when I'm struggling. Well I'm close to the 2 minute mark now with about 2 1/2 minutes to go.

    Anyways I'm hoping I can get some more work done on a couple of videos this weekend. So finally I have some editing time.

    Anyways today was the first day back to college nothing new really. Felt nice to catch up with some friends again. Tommorrow I'll be starting an amv workshop at the college and we'll be working on our first amv as a club. This will be interesting since were having the whole club work together as a group coming up with the ideas and having 4 people doing the editing. So everyone will get a turn to edit. I'll be there editing for a little bit and go back and fix what ever needs to be fixed. So wish me luck on trying to get 20 people to work together that'll be an interesting situation.

    Well I got to get up in about 8 hours, so that means another hour of editing and 6 1/2 hours of sleep. College life got to love it.

  • MLAMV Plus Sending Freedom... 2006-08-25 23:11:11 Well a couple things first.

    Shino did your floppy drive go bad again...

    Anyways the contest is starting back up this weekend and I'm looking forward to it. As for the next couple of rounds will be double headers so two games will be played instead of one. I'm hoping I can get the commissioners to vote in these games as the new scoring system allows for more versatility (sp?)

    Sending Freedom won Best of Show at Anime festival Orlando at the end of July and Best Action at Aniventure. So this has been my more successful amv at conventions.

    My new amv "Hunters or the Hunted" is probably going to be released some time in October or November this year. I'm currently half way done with the amv and it uses a song that I wrote the lyrics for. However I'm in the band. I know a local band they said they would do me the favor and worked on the song with me to my liking.

  • MLAMV Contest Resumed and Finished Otakon AMV... 2006-05-19 15:57:46 Well last week I finally finished my Otakon amv called Sending Freedom. It'll be playing at a few conventions this Summer and then it will be uploaded August 7th after Otakon. I finally got back to selling for the Baltimore Sun and made 19 orders so far this week. ($517 in 13 1/2 hours). Anyways I'm looking forward to watching the videos in the contest and start working on my next amv over the Summer. I hope to finish it before college starts again. The next amv is using a song I wrote the lyrics to and I had a local band perform it. The band sat down with me and I described the music and they put it together. They modified the music to make it blend better from the Verse to the Chorus. So this will be a unique experience. The estimated release on this is late August early September. It could be sooner depending on how difficult the video gets.

    Well off to work on the video now.
