<On the topic of the Japanese festival, when do you need the vids by, and what format? (I'm re-doing the Air vid as I type, so whatever format you want, I will do...) Looks like you will have a nice showcase of videos, based on the responses in the thread! I've been downloading them as well as they crop up. heh heh heh >
Well, this is scheduled to happen on the 8th of January which is a Sunday? hehe, didn't know that! Anyway, the sooner the better as I'll need to probably upsize the vids (if they ain't at least 640 x 480) and convert them to a playable DVD format (which is one of the final outputs for this project). So, basically make it any reasonable format that you normally use.
I've been requesting high quality mpg2 formats that peeps use for convention entries, but as long as it's of decent quality, it should be alright.
heheh, and thanks for the raincheck! I don't know when my EVA vid will be done, but I guess that will be the one it's rainchecked on... Once I get it roughcut, I think I'll have to look for beta-testers too as I hope this to a very ambitious video!

Well, it seems that I've hit on a topic that folks are replying to! My request for vids to be played at the upcoming Japanese Festival here has generated a ton of responses (a lot more than I expected), and what quality of vids too! Makes me want to quit making them as mine don't even come close. Very impressed by all the entries so far - not a bad one yet in the bunch. True, there are some that I can't use, but even those were really good, just didn't fit the theme I had in mind.
and that GitS one by Jason 00 (Desperate Soul) is awesome! I am surprised at how similar his and my DGDI1&0? is in feel to each other, but radically different approaches. And I swear that I never saw it until I d/l it from his link... honest!
I need to get all my clips done for my 'required' EVA vid. My deadline is the end of Feb and I'm barely thru the second disc (with 7 more to go!). Not motivated to make clips as I'm lazy and that's not the 'fun' part of making AMV's IMHO. I just counted 85 clips, and that ain't gonna cut it...
geesh, I think after this I"ll stick to making vids with limited discs for the next few amvs...
but anyway, happy holidays to those of you who actually read this! TTFN -
