Oh hell, they DID put that into the newsletter. Aaiiiiighhh! I thought I was in the clear. ...hell. Okay, I don't think I'm all that, got it? They asked me. Why I can't possibly fathom. They were after people who talk a lot on the forums, or something. Oh... never mind. I don't remember what I said at this point anyway I'll be off here hiding somewhere d;lfkj;dfljk.
Also, when did the video info turn to append-only? :/ I wish I'd known. I usually write long descriptions when a video comes out, then trim them over time to the basic info. Now the later ones are stuck with all the rambling. Blah. Had I known, I'd have trimmed the long ones and stuck to short descriptions from the start. Ah well. -

Okay, heading off to...well, to my sister's in half an hour, then to Otakon tomorrow. I'm not ready! Of course! I fell behind in the sewing. Which I'll do tonight. ...and possibly in the car tomorrow, but man, I hope not. Self! Don't do that again, it sucks!
I joined CosplayLab. I say this because it's really the mirror of my joining this place. I've been costuming longer than I've been doing AMVs, actually, but never got very involved in any organized promotion/community thereof. (Briefly in an LJ community, but that's it.) I don't expect to be too talkative there, though, since the cosplay community is even younger-skewing than the AMV community, and laser-focused on looking perfect. Like y'know, being focused on better-than-the-DVD visual quality only it's YOU. It's intimidating. I'll just do my thing and post my work.

Still lazily messing with the crossover video. It'll be a while; there are things I need to go back and rip that I can't right now. But it's fun.
Otakon is next. Oh...no. well. I finished my original slate of 4 cosplay commissions and am almost done with my own (Kagura's mint green outfit from the Fruits Basket anime). I am going to try to get a last-minute one in, rebuilding one that I did last year to a different size. I hope I can; we'll just have to see. (omg remaster! :P)
My own is cute and scary, which is fitting, I suppose. Promise I won't go around harassing Kyos, which Kagura cosplayers are, unsurprisingly, known for. I have one of the Kyo-cat plushies; I'll just strangle that Elmyra-from-Tiny-Toons style.
It'll be suitably scary anyway. I had half a mind to make a sign that said "the REAL reason Kyo runs away...", because it doesn't make sense to me in the series (she's cute, you moron, guys LIKE insane cute girls. Everyone knows that.) ...but that's too much trouble, lugging it around. So. There we go. Just the outfit and catgirl-style boar ears. and the plushie. and the backpack. not overdoing it. totally. ;)
