  • lazy... 2009-09-26 17:14:09 I've had my stints removed from my nose and I'm no longer on my meds that are making me drowsy... I feel really good actually with my new found ability called "breathing through my nose"

    I should be out running and getting myself ready for this 10 miler... but I've been overcome with laziness and the urge to do nothing >.<
  • the "nose job" diet 2009-09-20 10:28:54 Yep, the fact that attempting to eat solid foods has made me nauseous these past few days, I've lost 6 lbs in the past 5 days. I'm sure I'll only end up losing more as I attempt to run the Army 10 miler on October 5th. The trick will be keeping the weight off >.<
  • Deviated Septums 2009-09-15 22:46:49 Well, early tomorrow morning, I'm heading to the hospital to get septoplasty done to correct my my deviated septum... which completely explains why I've never been able to breath out of both my nostrils at the same time. So, after my recovery period, they say I should be able to breath ten times better... and I hope it does and that I'm recovered before Oct 5th, cuz I want to run the Army 10 miler in Washington DC

    (I wonder if they're also gonna fix the fact that one of my nostrils is bigger than the other) o_O;
  • There are artist... and then there's assholes... 2009-09-14 18:22:52 Kanya West hates white people... there, it needed to be said and I said it.
  • 9/11 2009-09-11 18:26:45 As I read through the post and notice that many many people really take into account what happened today 8 years and then reading Code's post and how he remembers his own accounts of 9/11, I can't help but think back to what I was doing...

    So no shit, there I was (thats how you start out an old Army story), I was a fresh new private going through my medical training in Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX when our senior instructor came rushing through our class to talk to the other instructors and our class was promptly released for an extended break. None of us really knew, nor cared what was going on at the time (besides, we had all joined during a peace time Army, no one really thought of war back then).

    But my most vivid memory of that day, was walking to the break area and seeing a plane crash into the World Trade Center on the TV and thinking to myself, "looks like a good movie..."

    It wasn't until we came back to the class room, that we were told that terrorist had high jacked planes and attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon by crashing the planes into them, we also told of the other plane in Pennsylvania... that when it hit me... I need to call my Mom... it's her birthday...

    But don't worry, she wasn't involved in the 9/11 attacks, I just thought it was a shitty way to remember my Mom's birthday. But it is a time to be thankful for what you have, because in an instant it can be taking away from you by a couple of assholes.
