  • 2009-10-21 19:53:54 for us to figure out the ultimate question, we're gonna have to spend a couple of hundred, maybe thousands of years building a super computer to figure that one out. I'm sure this computer would have to be a lot more complex than the one used to figure out the ultimate answer. =p
  • Exam #1 2009-10-21 19:50:45 Shenanigan!!! Shenanigans I say!!! Scored a 90% on the first exam for ALC and I was severely disappointed... They wouldn't let us see what it was we got wrong (and I'm sure with good reason) because there were at least two questions I wanted to dispute. Anywho, our second exam is this Friday and I better get more than 90% this time, especially since I'm still in the running for Honor Grad >.<
  • Advanced Leaders Course 2009-10-20 22:00:18 Well, I'm half way through the 2nd week of the Air Defense Artillery's Advanced Leaders Course and so far, I passed my Physical Fitness Test (not my best score) and was selected as the Student First Sergeant, placing me in-charge and responsible for about 150 other students (Air Defense and Field Artillery combined) and tomorrow we do our first written exam. From what we've covered so far, it shouldn't be too hard.

Unfortunately, due to my less-than-stellar fitness test score, I'm probably already out of the running for Distinguished Honor Graduate, but I'm looking to make it at least on the Commandant's List.

I'll have to see what the overall class picture looks like after the test, but I'm pretty sure the biggest determining factor is going to be the Night Land Navigation Course. Just give me a map, grid points, and my protractor (maybe a compass... though with terrain association, I rarely use it) and I'm confident I'll ace that one.

Anywho, now I've been neglecting this essay I'm suppose to write on how to integrate and train a new lieutenant into my platoon... e__e I roll my eyes, not because training a lieutenant is hard (they're usually more eager to work than a private), but because I don't want to write it >.<
  • Oklahoma blows... 2009-10-17 21:34:46 Let me explain, I don't necessarily hate Oklahoma... but they have this state law... and it mandates that all their beer sold in their state be no more than 3.2% alcohol by volume (it could be just this county I'm in, but whatever) and it pisses me off. Instead of the usual 6 to 7 % I'm used to, it means I'll have to drink twice as much beer to get the same result... meaning twice the money I have to spend, which CHEAPNESS is the whole reason I fucking drink beer to begin with! I guess I could just drink the hard stuff, but then I'll probably end up drinking myself into oblivion >.<
  • Yawara! Ep. 53 2009-10-09 11:26:05 Yup, just finished watching episode 53 which ends the World Cup story arc. And by now, you pretty much have a strong emotional attachment to the different characters (like'em or not). Pretty moving stuff. Any who, now we have 565 days for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, lets see what other type of drama they can pack in to the remaining 72 episodes >.<

For an older series (1989 to 1992), the story telling is top notch.
