First and Second AMV's done

Wow, at it less than a month, and I have two videos in the can. Neither is as good as I wanted them to be, but I know where I ran into problems, and I will be addressing those issues shortly. I plan to rerender and recompress both videos, and will release the fixed versions soon. I have gotten a lot of good feedback. My mother and stepfather actually downloaded the videos, and called me in tears after the second one. She has never even seen anime before, and it was really surprising to me that it would have such a profound emotional effect on her to watch the second video. She even enjoyed the dothack video "Out of Control." and she doesn't even like rock.
Jared Kessler of Enigmagic is giving me some input on the post production aspect of my stuff, which will really help me tighten up the resolution and compression. I am very grateful for his input. Also, Jon Schellinger, who got me started with AMV's, is being really helpful, too. I am researching and finding music for my next project, which I hope to be started on this weekend. I have special ordered a CD to use on a comedy NGE video, but if it doesn't get here this weekend, I will probably start work on a industrial rock giant mecha video, just to get all the cliches out of the way early.
Finally, I have the studio site up....http://www.kiskasca.net, and my wife informs me that I misspelled kiskasca. It's supposed to be kiskacsa. She is probably going to make me change the domain registration, so if you go looking for the site, and it comes up 404, just try the alternate spelling. Kiskacsa means little duck in Hungarian, by the way. I like ducks...you got a problem with that???

Day 1 as a contributing member

Wow, it feels so good to give my money to AMV. I should be a commercial. Actually, I have wanted to do AMV's since I was a little kid, but, believe it or not, I didn't know that was what I wanted to do. I dreamed of doing something creative, using the computer, manipulating multimedia objects to produce something that would evoke a strong emotional response, whether it be tears or joy or just a bunch of nerds going, "Badass!" Now I have begun to discover how to do these things that I have always wanted to do. I look forward to contributing a lot of projects to this site!
