JOURNAL: Pie Row Maniac (Kirk Fryrear)

  • I Am Soul Reaver! Who? Um, Soul Reaver. And you reave what? Souls! Rolls? 2002-03-25 02:48:07 hehe, the title is from a Penny Arcade comic. Damn ya gotta love those guys and their wacky antics. For those of you just joining us, Penny Arcade is a website that talks about video games and everything else that surrounds that area. They make comics, do reviews and previews, articles of opinion, it's a jolly ol' site. www.penny-arcade.com
    Enjoy, foolish mortals.

In terms of AMV stuph, I am ALMOST done with my newest video. The only things that are missing are some dialouge that I plan to say myself and put in. There's just une petite problem: my mic is nowhere to be found. So now I'm scavaging the surrounding oppurtunities in search of a microphone. Hark, where hath mine original gone!? Honestly, I don't freakin know. It's dissappeared, just like the Ghostbuster mp3 I used to have on my hard drive. Stupidty in it's prime, folks.

Minor note: I shall be leaving Thursday and will not be coming back 'til Sunday. All my loyal viewers (all three of you) will just have to be patient until then. Sorry.

I Know What You Did Last Summer is on right now. Urk.
  • Oh sure ya do, laddie. Off ya go now. 2002-03-23 22:45:34 Ah hah ha ha ha! Hoo boy, Do I love bloopers. Especially VA (voice-actor) bloopers. They're so great, especially when they make goofy sounds into the mics. For instance, at the end of Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, they show the logo for about 15 minutes while a bunch of voice screw-ups occur within the background. I do love it. Oh yes. I do.

RIGHT! So anyways, spring break has finally begun and I'm ready for it. I plan on doing some exercise, some job-searching, and a lot nothing in between. Actually, I hope to finish my video at long last. It'll be a lovely memento for the spring break of 2002.

Before I sign off, I just wanna state for the record that right now my underwear is WAY too tight right now, while my others are in the wash. Yessir-ee-bob.

  • Back in my day, pennies were only a nickel! 2002-03-22 21:31:06 Yeesch. I feel weird that I haven't written in my journal for a day and a half, especially since I've been going at this journal craze the past few weeks.

No real big updates AMV-wise. My Lunar video is still being worked on. A few motion effects, a dab of bitmap, and just a few little things. Nothing to see here, folks. Move along, people. Move along.

One thing that I'm UNhappy to report is the comparison of opinions that The Great Wang has on his new video against my most popular one, Quahog Kombat. Here's the details:
The Great Wang's "To The Stars" - Been Up For Two Days - Has 3 ops
Pie Row Maniac's "Quahog Kombat" - Been Up For Three Months - Has 5 ops

So yeah, right now, I'm just a little bugged about that.

  • Dang Dong Diddily CRAP 2002-03-20 21:54:09 The band contest went pretty well. I'm pretty sure I messed up while being the lackey of the three judges, but oh well; if I'm expecting a yelling, then a yelling I shall expect. However our band teacher is only mad when:
    a) we keep talking while he is, or when after the bell rings
    b) we forget our black socks/music/white shirt/black pants for concerts
    c) we dick-off when we're supposed to be working
    d) we use the term "dick-off"
So I'm not really expecting anything hostile coming my way from him.

My friend is, at the moment, persuading me to understand that the Pink Floyed song "Another Brick In The Wall" is the greatest song, as well as the greatest music video ever made. Most would agree with him.
Actual quote: "i like the part when they get dumped into a meat grinder"
hehe, gotta love those '80s bands. The only thing funnier than them is their fans.
  • Danger Will Slobinson! Danger! 2002-03-20 11:33:58 I'm thinking of taking down Adaquetely Prepared To Rock and replacing it with my up and coming Lunar video once it's finished. The whole "might as well put up one of my newbie videos" idea is going down the drain, considering I don't like having people seeing my worst, especially if I'm doing it deliberately.

The band contest is halfway done. Right now, I'm at my house eating leftovers for lunch (that reminds me, my pepsi's in the fridge). After I got back in about an hour and a half, our band (La Grande HS) is performing. Yow. I'm not whole-heartidily excited about concerts or performances, not anymore. I used to in my earlier high school years, but the "thrill" has died down so that performances simply seem like a chore now. Eh well. At least we have Pepsi.
