JOURNAL: Pie Row Maniac (Kirk Fryrear)

  • Not much call? It's the single most popular cheese in the world! 2002-03-26 22:24:58 Title's from a Monty Python skit, the cheese shop. I'm memorizing it so I can perform it with a friend for speech team. Woo woo.

Anyways, I've finally figured out The Great Wang's secret of opinions. Oddly enough, I even knew about it and didn't connect the dots until I was half-asleep this morning, the point in time when good ideas are easy to come by. I figure I might as well tell it, considering it's not much a secret. TGW says that he gives reviews FOR reviews. Hence forth, people flock to review his videos. I figure I might as well try this scheme, er I mean scandal, er I mean strategy out.

So to be blunt, my philosophy right now is
"I give reviews to those who give reviews to my videos."

Maybe something good will come about from it. !_!
  • Political correctiveness can suck the hairs right off my ass 2002-03-26 13:39:37 No real story here, I just don't like PC. Calling someone "gravity reliant" is the same as calling them fat, so someone's feelings are gonna get hurt anyways. Pointless, I tell you. Pointless. :-P
  • I think it's worth reading 2002-03-25 20:20:50 Okay, apparently SephirothJenova has had a major breakdown of his nervous system. You'd have to read his journal to understand. My words to him are this:

Just because you don't have any money doesn't mean suicide, for crying out loud. Calm down and think. Just cool off and you'll be able to think clearer. As for making AMVs being pointless, that's your call. Other people do it because they're creating something and making a significant collection of certain emotions to produce laughter, a tear, an adrenaline rush, whatever. We do this because we want to.

When you first started making AMVs, did you feel a certain emotion that's hard to describe? Well if you didn't, here's what it's about: You're human. Humans have a need to create. It makes them feel powerful, like they finally have something to be proud of. This is that feeling some felt when they first started making music videos. I felt it, and I hope you did. I'm hoping so because it's something you can attempt to hang on to if you're feeling like quitting this hobby. Obviously, you're at that point. If this reading hasn't helped you, then maybe this will:

If you fall in a hole, wouldn't you rather climb out than stay in it?
  • Excuse me, what? Sorry I was trying to ignore you. What'd you say? 2002-03-25 19:10:02 The Great Wang just deposited an insane Spanish song in my hard drive, and boy howdy, this song is, um..........yeah! It's literally insane, as it features a bunch of crazy sound effects in the background and sounds like a hyped up version of Shiroi Yama No Naka (Kimidori Break Version) by Shakkazombie, and in Spanish of course. I can only assume the song is about dogs, since there's a bunch of woofing and cat screeching in the background. Many sarcastic "thanks", TGW.

    "Super spanish!"
  • Hear that? That's dynamite, baby 2002-03-25 13:43:52 I FIANLLY signed up for the SATs, and now the hard part begins. I have to study for it, and in five weeks take the god-forsaken thing. This is gonna be fun. *clenches fist and grinds teeth* Fun.
