It's about time, dag nab it
2002-10-06 01:58:27
At long last, my videos have hosting. For BIA2(BAM), BIA2, and Quahog Kombat, they get VerseHost, where I got a depressingly low 8 gigs of bandwidth. That's why I didn't host all of my vids on it. :-P
As for Virus Carriers, I've decided to simply give it a Tripod account. It seems a little crude, but hey whatever works.
So yes, I now have hosting for three newest videos. Quite exciting, it is. Quite. :-3 <--- my new favorite text face

Ima try something new for a change. In all seriousness and honesty, it's time for a video that says "Laugh and/or enjoy this video." It's been a year and a half since I've done any comedy or fun in a video. I've said this serveral times before, but now I'm actually doing something about it. Wish me luck. ^_^

Fear: Tracking Osama Inside Your Heart
By Gehlek Rimpoche
We say we want to destroy Osama bin Laden, but we also have to destroy our own Osama bin Laden. Your hatred, my hatred, is our own Osama bin Laden, hiding in the mountains or our hearts. As U.S. citizens, we have to do whatever we can to reduce hatred and save life, not destroy it, because hatred only hurts us. Last fall's attacks are a vivid example of how hatred can hurt inno cent people.
The consequences will be felt for some time. The mental and physical pain, the depression and sadness, are all te result of hatred. What does knowing that do to our mind? It can lead to compassion or it can lead to more hatred. This is a test for everyone.
I admit I was angered by the attacks--even though I am a Tibetan lama who's been in the love-and-compassion business for 60 years. But that doesn't mean anger should be allowed to run out of control like a wild horse. We must put the bit in our anger's mouth and direct so it turns into compassion. That is spiritual practice. We start by looking inside our own hearts and minds.
The way I worked with my mind was by reflecting first on the victims of this tragedy. Having compassion for them was easy. Then I focused on the hijackers, foolish men who were willing to kill others and die because they thought they'd be rewarded in heaven. When I considered how pathetic and stupid they were to waste their precious lives, my anger at them slowly began to change to compassion.
I'm not suggesting that we shouldn't go after the terrorists. If we don't, more people will get hurt. Stopping horrifying acts is compassionate when it's done with the right motivation, which is respect and care for all life. Even in Tibet--the home of love and compassion--we fount against the Chinese invasion. Unfortunately, all we had were our fists, while they had every modern gadget. But it was out of compassion that we did not just submit.

Pie Row Maniac: I found this article to be too true for words, so I figured why let a good message be kept secret. I hope you found it as inspirational as I did.

Two new CDs
John Mayer's "Room For Squares"
Fatboy Slim's "On The Floor At The Boutique"
And on top of that, I just bought Smash Bros Melee, adding a brother/sister/thingie to my recently beaten Resident Evil. Damn, you just gotta love the new mutant in the remake, Lisa Trevor. She's unstoppable, she's a tormented soul, she still retains some intelligence even as an age-old freakshow from hell, and she's just damn cool looking. Character designers must've had a fun time making her.
I've incidentally found a new way to give little kids seizures! Whoo!
In one of my new videos, I captured a small piece from the Smash Bros Melee intro and edited it with the invert effect and a dance beat. I've never been so happy. *sniff* :-p
I ordered End of Evangelion a couple of days ago, and it should be here within the week. Now I can finally figure out what the hell some of these Eva vids I downloaded actually mean. Good to know these things, right?
Good to know.

Mmff, I'm all alone what with everybody at AWA. Confounded budget o' mine... ¬¬
Gonna try something new and heart-stopping, with a little more of the new than of the heart-stopping. I'm gonna feature a new humorous or interesting profile pic every so often. I could try it week-by-week, but knowing me I'll most likely forget. ><
Also, I'm getting tired of writing out Awesomeness of the Evening in every entry, so I think I'll just write the damn quote and only the damn quote.
Oh and for those in that chat room who thought that Evangelion+Rollin was already done, it isn't. Some think that an unoriginal song plus an unoriginal anime equals an AMV that's most DEFINITELY been done. I can agree, but I looked it up and, holy toledy, it hasn't. Whoo. :-p
For now, just try and find Batman. I dare you.
