Call it a night, boys

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
Anyways, I just got done being a radio DJ for an hour. The shit, ladies and gentlemen. It was awesome being on the radio, I love doing it. And my DJ name isn't half-bad either: Jonny Charisma. It was originally going to be Jonny Gomez, but since that's a character off of Celebrity Deathmatch, I didn't want to look like some fanboy or anything. I wanted a name that would suit me and my personality. One of my friends suggested the Charisma part instead of Gomez, and it stuck. Within the next couple of weeks, I get to pick and choose my own radio shows for the following weeks, each show being three hours long. Hurrah to the extreme. Oh yes.
Going away for a few days to see my brother for his birthday and to hang out with some of my friends, one of which is the friend mentioned above, as a matter of fact. It's kinda weird to see friends that you haven't seen in a while. In this situation for example, he's started to grow full facial hair. When he left, he left with a goatee-thingee and the sideburns of a demi-god. I kinda freaked out when I saw him last month. He's starting to look like his dad, only not as organized, hair-wise.
And I can tell that during these next few days while I'm gone, I shall surely be missed. And there's your lie for the day, folks.

"Hey. Dave. Are you a truck?"
"NOOOO!"

I just spent three mother-lovin' hours on math. MATH, of all things! Geh... I take comfort that a third of this winter term is over. And that tomorrow night I get to go visit a friend at the college radio station for her show, and hopefully do my air check. Air check, meaning I get to be the DJ for an hour, all on my own. I can't ask questions or get advice or anything. Truly, a test of my 1337 skillz. Most truly.
I'm in a semi-good mood. Going to visit some friends this weekend, tomorrow is my air check, and I just got the Lord of the Rings book, where it has all three in one.
The only thing that would make this complete is... her return....

Huzzah!

I got me first banner uploaded! Whee! *basks in the glory of actually making one*
ooh, and something cool happened a couple of nights ago:
I was walking back from the college radio station, which is a few city blocks away. Now, you'll have to understand, when I walk around the city at night, I get very philosophal. I question EVERYTHING, from this and that, to here and there, and back again.
I was wondering if I truly loved my girlfriend, who I haven't heard from since December (it's been miserable without her). I mean, why would she love ME, and who am I to return something so precious like love back to her? I'm an overweight insecure computer geek otaku who spends most of his time looking at a monitor and punching keys (this is how I felt at the time, not how I usually feel about myself).
Anyways, I look up at a lamppost and said to myself "If my love is true and pure, then this lamp will shine brightly."
It blinked a few times then came on. I was speechless for a few moments, then got on my knees and prayed. It felt pretty damn good. ^_^
Few other things happened recently:
-Got the Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring Extended DVD Version. IT HAS FOUR DIFFERENT AUDIO COMMENTARIES. o_0 Holy degraded babboons, Batman.
-Got my song decided for my "hope" video. I'm still throwing ideas around as to what to name it, although I think I'll just name it after it's done. It makes for an easier idea of what to sum the video up in a few key words into.... and that last sentence made no sense. Eh well.
-THREE DAY WEEKEND.
I think that last one speaks for itself. =D
Legolas: "Lambas bread. One bite is enough to fill a grown man."
Merry: "... how many did you eat?"
Pippin: "... four."

Wha-pow?

I entered Virus Carriers and Brothers In Arms 2 (BAM) into the MindWarp contest last night, barely before they stopped taking anymore videos. I really didn't want to put in BIA2(BAM) because I had a video planned, but nooooooo, I just had to have a class at 8 in the morning every day, so sleep was need and editting was shortened. *weeps*
Eh well. Life/shit happens. :D

B-b-b-b-b-blurry!
2003-01-10 09:30:18
I've just now wandered onto the song Blurry by Puddle of Mudd. I love these emotional rock songs, it's like a combination of two great things, like the Resses cereal. Mmm...
AMV progress? What's that?
Actually, I made three tiny trinket videos. One for a project (no, not the NES one), a Trigun one about Vash's addiction to beer, and a very anguished LotR video using the Matrix: Reloaded audio. Anguished is such a great description.
As for my main video projects, I have an EoE video in the shops, along with the idea for a video about hope. The song has yet to be decided, which is why I'm browsing around, looking for emotional rock songs and what have you. I have the anime pretty much figured out. There's a stack of DVDs a few feet away from me, staring at me, telling me to do things... mostly involving the video at hand, but enough about my psychosis already.
