Ahhhhh....
After staying up till around 4:30ish and getting all of 2 1/2 hours of sleep I feel much better.
First, video stuff. It's funny, when I uploaded the video in the wee hours of the morning today I was really unhappy with it. I thought it was just plain crap. I've watched it a couple of times since and I have to say I actually like it a little more now. It grew on me a little.
I also feel a bit relieved now that it's done; almost like some weight was gone and I can do other things now - watch more anime (damn! Angelic Layer is done already!) listen to some good music, edit the webpage, etc...
I felt kind of cruddy going in to work but for some reason I was still able to function in a somewhat normal fashion. Even with a somewhat corrupted registery that stopped me from being able to compile/run VB I was able to edit/add some code. I couldn't run it to test it out, but hey, it's gotta work, right? This morning I added code for a cumsum report and the ability to edit data pulled from queries. See, the program will take in data from whatever connection you've got and then chart it (right now it's got I Charts, ImR Charts, C Charts, X bar R charts and Run Charts). I've got a snazzy listview you could pull up to see all the data you've pulled and to allow the user to interactively set which points to graph. This morning I made it possible to edit that information in memory and then rechart.
Now that you're bored to tears I'll finish up by re-emphasizing how nice my boss is. After putting in a request to have my computer's OS reinstalled he said I might as well head home to work. It's a bit of a change working on an outdated P90 over there and then coming home to my homebrewed AMD 1.4ghz. Not the fastest anymore, but damn, a lot faster than that piece of crud at work.
Here's hoping it takes a while to get my work computer fixed. -

I'm at work and I'm bored. My copy of Visual Basic is fubared so I'm basically just sitting around.
To top it off I just noticed my new video was misnamed on the server.
And I got about 2 1/2 hours of sleep.
Could I possibly whine any more?

I finally uploaded my 2nd video, for better or worse.
Yeah, it's another Cowboy Bebop video but hopefully it's not too similar to the others. I tried to pick a good song to match and to pick decent scenes.

Yeah, got all my episodes copied over & encoded even though I had to redo some of them because I stupidly forgot to merge some vobs.
So I zoomed through and recut all the parts I needed and threw them together on the timeline. Panic #1, the cuts took up less space than the rough avis did. Speed issue? I don't know, I'm new to this stuff. Because of this I got to play what other clips can I use to fill this stuff up?
Ah well. Got that stuff done and all the clips in place. The lip sync parts have just the clips looping to take up space until I'm ready to try & sync. That's where I am now and that's where the title comes from. Wow. My first video was purely instrumental, this one is almost totally vocal. I just got through my first lip sync section. Ouch. It's a little fun in a demented, evil kind of way. I saw one guy mention that he did his whole video in four hours. I'm thinking two lip sync segments could take that long.
On another note for some reason my Noir video got close to 200 hits since around 1pm yesterday. I checked my bandwidth usage and yesterday alone was over 1.5gigs of transfer. Wow. I kinda wonder why everyone decided yesterday was a good day to watch the video. Not that I'm complaining, it's kind of neat.
Back to syncs with maybe a break for AL ep 21.
