I finally started watching some of the better reviewed videos. Started with "Odorikuruu" followed by "Video Girl Ai: The Fall" and "Failed Experiments in Video Editing".
Gotta say I wasn't all that impressed by "Odorikuruu". I mean, it had some neat effects but it just didn't do much for me. I fear the amount of clips that video must've taken. *shiver*
"Failed Experiments in Video Editing" I just finished watching. What a riot! ^_^ I haven't seen too many videos so far but that was very unique. I love how well the stills matched in with the video. And I must be still green because I liked the little part near the end.... Ah well.
"Video Girl Ai: The Fall" is one of my favorite videos so far. Wow. The music matched that video really well and it was very well executed. Probably in my top 5 videos. I'll admit, though. I didn't get the VCR winding down significance. If I hadn't read the notes, anyway. But... I'm dense like that so it's okay.
Now if that *perfect* song would just swing my way so I can start on another amv... grr.... -

Thought I'd drop by and add an entry to the old journal.
AMV news first. I killed the last three projects I was working on before I even got 1 sec into building them. The last was because of bad video clips and a sudden surge in the usage of the anime - Inu Yasha. So, damn. Now I'm back to figuring out what I want to do next.
On the good front, Adiamante was kind enough to offer membership into Random Variable Productions to me. After much thinking I accepted so now I'm part of a studio. Kinda neat. Hopefully I'll do the group proud with some good videos. His page can be viewed at http://www.randomvariable.net Drop in and say hey sometime.

.... but what would be a day without me spamming the journal and testing the pavlovian instinct of the other members to read new journal entries?
I'm 1 download away from having 600 hits on Edit #3 of my Noir video! Yay! That would bring the total of all three versions to.... errm... calculator.... 1100 or so! Yay! Soldats contest will be finished shortly (end is Christmas if I understand) so wish me luck on that. Or not - if you entered too.
My Cowboy Bebop video, set to the O Brother Where Art Thou Soundtrack (I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow) is getting pretty good reviews and a fair number of downloads - 258 as of now. 5 reviews, so that's all good. High Originality marks which I think is neat since it's a Cowboy Bebop video.
No Christmas for me!!! I'm working all next week at the house and I'll try to put in some work on a music video but I just don't know about this next one. I can't quite pick what I want. Ah well. Something will pop up eventually.

Alright, cancel the romance idea. Not *nearly* enough clips. But... but... This time I do have an idea. For sures. A Christmas video :) No, really. Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm a very original & wonderfully intelligent guy for thinking this up.
