Alright, my submissions to Ohayocon 2008 arrived safely and on time! No confirmation was ever sent out, though, which kept me on the edge of my seat for the past week and a half. But it's okay, because they did make it, and both have made finalist, so I'm satisfied. I've also finally found the time to upload my Action submission, so check it out (though anyone going to Ohayocon will have the luxury of seeing it on the Big Screen, which excites me to no end).

I Hate Deadlines.

With a passion. Ohayocon 2008's AMV contest deadline is in 8 Days. That is less than 200 hours. Actually, when I look at it like that it doesn't really seem all that bad. But still! I am dismayed! I had all but forgotten about the competition until a friend reminded me that we're still going to the con, and I subsequently had a long moment of Oh No...because I have competed for the past couple of years, and it sort of gives me something to look forward to at the beginning of the new year and I have Completely Failed To Make Anything For It. So now I must scramble to pull something together before the deadline and hope my seriously depressed computer puts up with sending it through their ftp server. Oh! And did I mention? The disc drive on the aforementioned computer has recently DIED. Rather quietly, with very little kicking and screaming, but none the less it is DEAD. Wonderful, I tell you.
Luckily, I usually perform better under pressure. Usually. -
Mixed Feelings

So I've decided to try this Weiss Kreuz video idea, and I really hope I can get it to work and actually make some sort of SENSE; I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost all the footage from the Weiss television series. I can remember ripping it all off the DVDs, and converting it, but it is nowhere to be found. And so now I have to go through the whole process all over again. This is disheartening.
On a good note, I only have final exams left, and then I am done with this semester. Finally! I thought it would never end... -

So I'm a little swamped with ideas right now, all I need is a good push in the right direction, as it were. And so I throw myself at your mercy!

Genre: Action, plain and simple, no premise beyond that

Audio: Tear You Apart - She Wants Revenge
Genre: Romance? Parody? Some dark twisted combination of the two? The basic premise will be that the romantic relationships hinted at in the show (ie: Ken/motorcycle girl, Youji/detective/Neu, Ran/Sakura, Omi/Ouka, Nagi/Tot) have all been instigated/controlled by Schuldig (resident psychotic telepath) all in the game of good, dishonest fun. I'm not trying to make this funny, per se, I just thought it was an interesting idea and wanted to see if it was possible...
There are a couple of other ideas floating around, but these are the most insistent at the moment, and so it's basically down to story or no story. Any suggestions will be much appreciated! - I may be leaning towards Panic... 2007-11-30 16:45:24 Hmmm...my laptop's speakers aren't working. That's...not good. Um, well then. The headphone jack works fine, but the speakers just don't do anything...eep.
