Karas - Momentum (Aeri)
This is my Action submission to Ohayocon 2008, though it's something I've been thinking about for a couple of months now. Ohayocon's deadline was the catalyst, really. Fun action times, and that's about all there is to it. I made it in about 4 days, working straight, broken up by several bouts of deadline panic. That being said, I did have a lot of fun with it, and am satisfied. Enjoy!

/gets (even if it is .mov)
edit: I was captured, enthralled even. I hope there wasn't any story behind this because I didn't follow it. I'm just going to assume you made this to be a random action video, and while that sets the bar a little low, it's definitely something the video jumps over cleanly and without question. The sync was close to perfect, there was only one spot that I was groovin' to where I got thrown off, but even that might have been the song's fault. All in all, this AMV is good for some mindless self indulgence, and compared to that crappy little 320 x 240 version I saw, this looks beautiful!

Never watched KARAS, but I'll download it since it's an Aeri's one XD
EDIT: Awesome. I really liked. A bit "bloody", but it was really good. I'm really impressed with the sync with the bass (0:12-0:16), and I loved the spanish guitar part (0:40-0:52). As for it being in .mov... BLAH! who cares? For me it's convenient: I can view it in my iPod (after some resizing, of course). My final verdict: 5/5. Excellent video
Keep up the good work!

Eh, didnt really like it. Next time use .avi or .mp4 instead of .mov. And the quality was really bad for Karas. Unlike some animes, Karas looks terrible with slightly bad quality too me. It just was too boring for me and the cookie cutters were not a great effect. And the flashes became to unesecary at times and there was some iffy scenes. 2.5/5

Erk, yeah, I was worried that the .mov format would bother some people; strangely enough, I thought I'd compressed it the way I had my last couple of videos, but I must have done something wrong.Minion wrote:bad: .mov, stupid black bar effects...most of it was pretty fun though

Thanks!Neverend wrote:Thought it was kowl!![]()

Man, that guitar part had me stumped for the longest time, but I liked how it turned out. The .mov format always works fine for me, too, but it seems that the majority of people out there don't really appreciate it. I'm glad it didn't give you any trouble, though.aguelo wrote:Awesome. Sorry you didn't like it; I tried to keep the quality as high as I could. I really wish I could get access to Avisynth and the like (sometimes having a Mac is inconvenientSilentKill_LD wrote:And the quality was really bad for Karas. I'll definitely avoid that format next time around, that's for sure. But I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway, even though you're not a fan of instrumental songs.Kevmaster wrote:I enjoyed the editing. But..why was this in .mov? ... I probably wont rewatch this to often because I don't rly like instrumental songs, but the Video was well done
