Very scary times

While most people thinks that the Iraq war is THE headline these days, I should highlight that is another news item that everyone should equally be aware off, and it's one that I think is a lot scarier.
SARS, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, is a newly discovered flu-like strain that originated from China (Guangdong, near HK) that has infected 1300 people worldwide, including people in HK, Vietnam, US, Canada and a number of countries in Asia. There has been so far 51 reported deaths, including 3 in Canada and 2 people in Singapore. Canada has quarantined thousands of people in Toronto, and there have been cases reported now in New York.
It is HIHGLY contagious, and very distressingly a good number of doctors and nurses themsevles who are trying to attend to these patients become victim themselves, some even dying. Being in contact with an infected person can infect you. People are begining to wear face masks in public, and a number of schools all over Asia has closed to try to control any spread. Thing can be on the verge of an uncontrolable worldwide outbreak if unchecked. How scary is that?
This strain does not care about your race, nationality or political bent, it just kills.
Worse of all, there is NO cure as of yet, nothing even near a vaccine.
The incubation period is from 2-5 and up to 10 days and symtoms are very high fever >38 and respitory problems (incl coughs, cold).

I really hope they find a cure/vaccine soon. -

Well...I've been quiet lately. And it's not like I have a new video to show for it or anything. :( It already sounds like a quiet year for me. :P
Been addicted to other non-AMV stuff the past 2 weeks. Yaay?

Today I did some selective ripping for a video I'm working on and inserting them into the video, which took about 4-6 hours, and while I'm sure I did some selective ripping before, I sure can't remember when. (Usually I do complete rips)
The video's not quite near complete yet, and there's still more ripping needed, but a got a good deal done already, and the vid already looks spiffier (again). Slowly but surely. Sounds familiar....
The video still sucks though, though it sucks a lot less than it's initial build. ^_^
