JOURNAL: ShonenDizzyCow (Weng-Cheong Fung)

  • If you build it, will they come? 2002-05-01 21:32:38 By amv.org journal tradition I guess I too *must* post that my profile views have surpassed the 2000 mark. yaay. 2002 views specifically. I must be doing something right. I hope. I am however curious what's the average # of views anyways....

More importantly I finished up some unfinished videos the past week, so maybe I could do the 'one new video announcement per month' thingy for the next couple of months.

However I'm not much in a mood to start a new video - I keep getting nightmares that the project will spiral out of control into another 100+ hour video. Brrr! Maybe I should do another 'short' to encourage myself. Preferably something less than 2 minutes in length so I won't kill myself. On the other hand I should start cracking as I may not have time anymore to make videos in the future due to the increasing demands of work. :(

  • Release Timing 2002-04-24 20:44:09 I sure choose a bad time to re-release my video, Evangelion Opus. Right before the database crash and the host pulling the plug, about a week ago. I wonder how many people went away frustrated/dissapointed.

But now since the site's back online, get it while you can while this site is up!
  • Hate the little mistakes! 2002-04-03 21:58:32 Each time I compile my videos I swear there's some mistakes or opportunities for improvement I didn't spot. Even if it's my 100th compilation-q/a cycle. I hate that.

_It_ looks done, but I've got a strange suspicion that I've missed some stuff. Well at least each time I spot the errors I'm that close to releasing a video that I'm satisfied with or until I get temporarily sick of watching the video. ^_^

And I did watch Resident Evil, a pretty enjoyable movie and a particularly interesting watch for me since I made my Resident Eva video, armed with only knowledge of the trailer. My only regret was not having some additional interesting lines from the movie appear in the trailer (and my video).
  • Great watching 2002-03-30 07:10:02 Watched AI for the first time on DVD today, great show I thought, and I liked the entire movie, even the final ending, which I believe many people didn't.

Watched Puni Puni Poemi 2nd episode. Damm that is one really hyperactive show and voice actress. And funny as hell.

EO is basically done, and now is in the encoding q/a phase. Uploading is next. ^_^
  • Metropolis Unspoiled 2002-03-24 21:00:57 I watched ‘Metropolis’ yesterday; great show, very visually impressive and it also had a amazing soundtrack. And it was really great watching an anime movie (big budget one too) on the big screen.

As I’ve said before to my friends, best use of a Ray Charles song in a movie I’ve ever seen.
