Web paging
2002-06-05 03:35:53
Updated the Shonen Productions Web Page, especially for the “new” Evangelion Opus. The screenshots of the video is of particular interest, since there are segments that are so content packed in the video, it’s hard to take in all of it, or it may be too fast to notice. For those who have watched the video, flash of images near the end is not simply thrown together without thought, as a number of interesting messages and images were the intention of it, as shown by some of the sceen caps of the video.
I may have gone overboard on the screenshots however(over 100 50% scaled down images there) but there's just so much content in the video it felt like letting it down if I didn't show the wide spread of content that it shows and tackles.
Also for those who place more emphasis on other people’s review as proof a good video to watch, my review page has numerous snippets (the good points of course :P) of my video reviews.
I don't normally promote my page much or place a lot of importance on it anyways, but the page is located at, if you are curious:

Damm Vobs
2002-06-04 04:35:52
I hate working with vobs!! Wait, or should I say I hate working with slow machines!!! It is highly discouraged to work directly with vobs in Premiere if you have less than a 1 Gig processor machine. It takes 10 times the effort to time each cut since I am practically blind within premiere. What more, I am going for something ambitious this time as well, and it involves a LOT of frame-by-frame editing and some new premiere tricks I am trying out for the first time. This is certainly slowing down my current project, as the video slowly takes are ever increasing complex structure, like how most of my videos tend to evolve. I feel the urge to start a 'quickie' project to make myself feel better while I work on the 'bigger' video, like how I made "Resident Eva" during the period when I got bored with the remaking of "Evangelion Opus". ^_^ Oh wait, I need a new HDD, and I can't bear to delete my clips that took so long to rip and convert. :D
Also, Soldier of Fortune 2 is also taking longer than expected. :P
I've finished most of my promised reviews and I've been watching a bunch of Rahxephon and Crest of the Stars episodes, both of which are very nice indeed. Gotta love them weekends!

Must resist.....

WTH, I found out that my “EVANGELION OPUS” video is now the 2nd highest rated Evangelion Video on AMV.org (only behind Engel by Kevin Cadwell) I share this position with the equally excellent Eva video by Gambitt (and Nightowl).
I realize that while this may not mean a whole lot by itself, but if Evangelion is anywhere on your TOP10 anime list, or you are simply itching for an interesting video to watch, do kindly give the video a look-see in case that you might enjoy the video. I do not have a major con presence, so it’s nice to know that the video has gotten to where it to a certain degree with the help of good word of mouth.
I somehow too have stumbled back onto the TOP10 most opinionated list. Yaay!
On more my current AMV project, with some excellent ideas and tips from the ever helpful DrDude, I've managed to solve certain problematic segments, the technique is really simple but it’s interesting that I never really thought about it that way and while it’s a little more additional work, it’s opened up a whole new world for me – and it’s fun to do as well. Now I need more time! I hope that the 30-40 hours doesn't baloon into like 80. There are still lots to do – and I want it to look good so that it’s worth anyone’s time!
And that Muvee program is hilarious! Might even come in handy, but it’s mostly hilarious.

Why are we so afraid of the Indigo sky? We'll sit and we'll drink and we'll die.

Been watching a number of anime recently, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (cool), Nadia (just finished all 39 episodes, save the filler episodes, it's a really nice epic series, with a great ending) and Escaflowne: The movie (pretty, if little else). Rah-Xephon, EP1 looks really nice and promising. Can't help but feel it's like eva. ^_^
Did more stuff with the video after about a 2 week break. I am concentrating at improveing segments by segments, and while progress is slow, the result polishing of those segments is rewarding, as they look much better, and I've taught myself a few NEW tricks while working on the video, which surely will come in handy in the future. The learning never stops it seems. :D
