So I caught Spirited Away last weekend, great movie, the very first time I actually saw a Ghibli movie in an actual cinema. However it’s safe to say that my favorite Ghibli film has not changed. ^_^
Yesterday was a drag. Was working on a video from 10am to 10pm, mostly doing polishing, and individual frame edits/compositing/photoshopping. Half the time was spent rendering. Z.Z I actually was working on one of my slightly older, but still unreleased video, just to take a break from my newest vid. While it was quite a chore, I'm glad that I did it, and the vid looks all that much more better for it. It’s quite frustrating to have a video released only to find out that you’ve made some mistakes or overlooked certain edits/sequences. Even if you put out a ‘re-mastered’ version, it’s never elegant.
However I did learned a new thing or two about editing and Premiere amongst the boredom yesterday. And I'm still convinced that avs-vob editing in Premiere is still one of the worst decisions I've ever made. (So I guess the guides came out a little too late =P, besides I don't think I have the HDD space really, unless I start cleaning out junk off my pc). Now I only need to do some post-processing and encoding, then it's upload time. Xvid here I come!
With the trailer review exchange offer I posted, got some watching to do and hopefully reviewing soon. -

And true enough, as I just spoke of it in my previous journal, I now have the 58th review of EO. O_O
These days are filled with about half-hour sessions of tweakings and lots of hours of rendering. Gotta find something useful to do in the meantime...z.z Whee. - New not Old 2002-11-01 01:21:19 Hmm I've noticed that the last 5 opinions I've gotten seem to all be for my old videos >_< Not to be nitpicking or ungrateful, but I sure _could_ use a second opinion on either of my new videos more than a 58th review of Evangelion Opus. *_* O_O =P

On reading some other people's journals, I better get down to it and release my video before others beat me to it, and make me look silly, especially considering that I'm already at 95% done. Must....finish....
Now I can't sleep well at night. Perhaps I should screw up my release schedule again. >_< -

Off goes yet another render of yet another build. I'm having big problems trying to squeeze my video down just below the next minute marker for obvious reasons. ^_^
Most of the effects (mostly subtle) and timings are pretty solid now, I just need to catch bugs now. That's a good thing, cause my week-long leave is coming to an end. :(
Come November I wonder when should I release my next finished video....(not this one I am currently working on) I'm not sure why but I tend to have too many videos finished in the year end and too little in the summer. >_<
You'll probably see this video that I'm currently working on like next year probably, considering my backlog (thanks to some hosting problems that I had in the middle of the year), I sure hope no one releases a similar video before I release it. That would suck big time. Hmmm....now I'm worried.
