Well it's finally done. It's been a long time in the maing but now is the time to watch it! But seriously, this vid was alot of work that was frustratingly fun to make. But overall I'm very happy with the final vid. I recommend watching this vid if you like fast dance vids and even if you don't...still watch it!

One Year Today and I'll finally return to drama

Well, techinically yesterday, but it's been exactly one year since I posted my first vid. I can say that I never thought that I'd develop so much as an editor as quickly as I have. But that make me all the more excited of what kind of things I'll create and learn this year! Thanks to everyone who's watched my vids and even more to all that left QCs, OPs or Pmed me with their thoughts, it has been immensly helpful and supportive!
Now onto my vid status here...It's been a long 4 months of editing and revising and waiting for more footage, but my dance vis should be done and uploaded very soon. I hope everyone enjoys it!
As for my new project, I'm finally making my return to drama. Last year I wanted to really experience the whole spectrum of vids and genres so I spread myself to making 2 drama, 1 action, 1 romance, two MEP tracks, 3 iron chef vids and now my new dance vid. I'm happy that I really delved into all the genres since it has greatly honed my versatility and style of editing. And now with all the knowlege and styles I've learned from all those genres I'm going to return to drama and really make something heartfelt again. I'm really not sure how this project will come out since I haven't started yet, but I'm confident that I should have it finished in time for the summer cons. So look forward to it, I'm hoping to visually break peoples hearts with my next vid! -

I just finished my newest vid and I can say that it came out looking very nice. It's an intense action vid that really inspired some curiousity and creativity in me to make. I used alot of layering and blending masks to make some nice effects and in the process I learned a ton about them. So hope everyone likes it! And if ya have any comments about it, let me know! I'm very anxious to hear people's reactions to the vid! Enjoy!

Sorry for the strange title there, I've been having a craving to do some writing lately but I wanted to finish my new vid first.
So here's the update! My new action vid is nearing completion and lemme just say that it is shaping up very different from what I initially had in mind. "Wow, that was fast?" you say? Well like I said earlier, when you go from editing a vid that takes 2 hours a second to piece together, adapting to a much more fast and fluent editing style goes much smoother. And on top of that I've been very focused lately, editing from 2-6 almost every night for the past 2-3 weeks. But it's all for the best. When I look at the effects and techniques of this vid so far it really suprises me to see how much I've actually developed and improved as an editor over the past 10 months. I'm really excited to show it to everyone and more than ever, I want to hear everyones comments and reactions to it since I hold some solid thoughts about it already.
At the very soonest I might have this vid finished and uploaded by a week from Friday. Granted I keep editing for large chunks of time this next week. But I'll do my best, so look forward to watching my new action vid soon! Thanks! -
Well...there's good news and bad news...

First the bad news...Unfortunately my current dance vid I'm working on is delayed due to the fact that I've pretty much exhausted all the footage I have until the last DVD of the show I'm using comes out this December. It's a bummer since I think the vid is lookin very nice, but with the amount of effects and such that I'm using...I've literally used almost every action sequence in the show. O_O But not to worry, as soon as I get ahold of the last DVD I can assure you that I'll have the vid done within the timespan of a couple weeks at most. So look forward to it everyone!
And now the good news...Due to the fact that my current vid is delayed I decided to start a side project to work on until I have the new footage in December. The new vid I'm working on is flat-out action. It's an idea that I had a while back before I even started editing, but I couldn't find the time to do it until now. I'm very happy with how it's come along so far and let me just say that when you go from doing an effects/timing heavy dance AMV to a flashy action vid, the editing seems to go soooo much faster. I've only been working on the new vid for about three day and I've already finished 30 seconds! This compared to the 2 weeks its taking to do 30 seconds on my dance vid. But it's looking good and if I'm lucky then I'll have this new action vid done by the time I'll have to go back and finish my dance vid. So you're probably going to see to new AMVs from me get finished and uploaded in December. I don't know about you, but sounds like a sweet deal to me.
Other than those updates, with the time I've had in the past 2 weeks I've done a couple side projects. I finished a track for the Multi-Editor Project, "The Unearthed Project". I really had some fun doing it and I only wish I had more time to use since my track was so short. But either way it came out very nicely and be sure to check it out when the MEP is finished and uploaded!
And I'm also taking part in the Online Iron AMV Chef contest going on in the forums here on the org. I had my match a couple nights ago and I've gotta say that even though it was my first time doing an Iron Chef contest, it was tons of fun. They haven't posted the results of the match yet but win or lose, I had lots of fun and can't wait to do another!
