One hundred seventy sixth entry - !pimp x2

Time - 3:11, Noise - Fatal Frame III OST - "Koe"
In my ongoing effort to find good Kingdom Hearts videos, I ran across this one:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=116435
It doesn't really match the lyrics well, but it has very good beat sync, and it showcases a LOT of scenes that you rarely see in any KH AMVs. (As an added bonus, this also uses one of my current favorite songs by the band.)
Games: Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2
Music: Nickelback - "If Everyone Cared"
editor: misao_chan
Thankfully, it's of the few .avi's that is NOT on a site like Megaupload or whatever your uploading poison may be. It's a true DIRECT download.
Well, I just wanted to share that. Enjoy!

Time - 10:52, Noise - some weird oriental crap on my brother's radio station...
Just wanted to pimp a video, basically. Someone else made this, not me. It's sitting in the "new vid on the block" box right now, and you know me - Curious Jen. I downloaded it. Definitely one of the better game videos I've seen in a while.

One hundred seventy fourth entry - more inventory

Time - 3:40, Noise - Final Fantasy VII - "Ancient Steps Retraced (OC remix)"
A quick note before I forget: in my last entry, I'm pretty sure everyone thought I was referring to the Japan Revolution thread with my WMM rant. Well, I wasn't. I was actually referring to an announcement thread I had seen that morning. (Although, I still stand by what I said for that J-Revolution thread.) Anywho, sorry for the confusion.
So, life... life has been... as it always is. I've been downloading AMVs to pass the time. I got bored of conquering the top ten percent, so I decided to clean out the Loveless super search instead. I used to do that for every anime I watched - pop it in the Super Search with the "Downloadable" option, and get every single video I possibly could. I think that's why my download count got so high. Well, I'm doing that with Loveless now - I think it was Jaddz's video that inspired it. Unfortunately, most of them are not nearly as good as hers. Not even passable in most cases. I've only added one other Loveless video to my permanent collection so far, and I only have about forty left to watch. If I owned the DVDs, I might have made a Loveless video of my own - not that I have a song to go with it, anyway.
Actually, my best friend is getting them soon, I know. We're odd like that. She owns most of the anime, and I own most of the manga. We trade constantly, of course, and it saves on money. It won't last forever, naturally, but for now, I don't have to buy anything that I know I can borrow.
In fact, I own surprisingly little merchandise...
Anime:
Chobits (complete)
Elfen Lied (complete)
Fruits Basket (complete)
Ah! My Goddess: The Movie
Saikano (complete - thinpak)
Cardcaptor Sakura (complete - thinpak and low quality - bootleg'd?)
Cardcatpor Sakura Movie 2
Pokemon Movie 3 (my sister's, actually)
Manga:
Tokyo Babylon (complete)
X (complete 'til they write more)
Chobits (complete)
Saikano (complete)
Cardcaptor Sakura (both sets - complete)
Kingdom Hearts (complete)
Devil May Cry 3 (complete 'til the next two are released)
Tsubasa (complete 'til they write more)
And... I have a random Devil May Cry 3 doujin called Sweet Dreams (hawt Vergil x Dante lovin'), as well as the angrily adorable Kurogane (Tsubasa) in plushie form. I guess I own more than I thought, but that's still nowhere near the amount that a lot of anime fans have. I also have a crapload of videogames - more than I care to list off. That's actually where most of my money goes.
Of the anime I own, I really only have good AMV ideas for three of them - Elfen Lied, Chobits, and Saikano. I would love to do a Saikano manga music video, because it has the absolute perfect set up for one - big, bold images, uninterrupted with text. X would make a pretty good MMV, too, come to think of it.
The only anime/manga that's really on my wish list (that I'm not already in the process of getting) is the Tsubasa anime. I'm really looking forward to it, but it's definitely one that I'm saving for a boxset. I've paid way too much money already for single DVDs.
And now... I need a shower. So I'll be off.
See ya, folks.

One hundred seventy third entry - JUNKIES LAWL
2006-08-03 20:26:27
Time - 7:01, Noise - Final Fantasy X - Jared Hudson - "The Final Summoning (OC remix)"
You know, Journal Junkies, if you stand very, very still, Cornwiggle won't see you! *nod nod* :D
Honestly, though, I'm glad that I'm not really a part of any group of the site. I'm not a journal junkie, I'm a bit of an oddball in #AMV, and I'm kind of out of place on the forums. It lets me associate with pretty much whoever I want without getting a label attached to myself.
Damn. I'm an outcast, it seems.
I must be emo...?
That's a pun, folks - one that you'll get if you watch Aqua-chan's hilarious video:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=124568
Well, upon rethinking it, I guess I do have a label. For a long time, I've been "helpful forum girl" - not to mention the defender of all things WMM. I think we're running into an unhealthy trend now, though. Because of the negative aura on this site regarding WMM, people are starting to apologize for using the program before they even get comments on their video. Even worse, I saw a thread today where the creator called a commenter a "WMM hater," when the commenter didn't even say anything about the program the editor had used! The editor was using Windows Movie Maker as a crutch, and that's just bullshit.
Have a little faith in your skills, would you? Don't instantly blame your program when things go wrong, and don't accept it when someone else blames it. And definitely do not *accuse* someone of blaming your program when they've said nothing of the sort!
To the Journal Junkies: if Cornwiggle is upsetting you, ignore him! You don't have to read his journal, just as he does not have to read yours. Be with the people who you consider to be friends, and don't let one bad apple ruin the bunch. While I'll sheepishly admit that I find the arguments to be an entertaining read, all you're doing with this is proving Arigatomina's point about journal guidelines. Besides, I like you all better when you're having fun. Don't you?
The bottom line: edit what you like, with the software and hardware you like, and don't get so caught up in the drama around you that you forget what a wonderful site you're a part of.
Yeah, I ended that on a feel-good note. Deal with it. ;p

One hundred seventy second entry - 3011 hits...
2006-08-01 14:59:13
Time - 1:43, Noise - Dark Cloud - "La Saia's Resting Place (OC remix)"
Yergh... I feel sick. I just threw up twice this morning for the first time in several years. I had forgotten how unpleasant the sensation was. I'm just really hoping it doesn't happen again. I was waiting to eat anything, at least until I didn't feel queasy anymore. I'm better, but I don't count on that lasting the whole day. I think it was the meat my mother bought. Add that into the fact that I don't eat meat all that often to begin with, and I guess it was pretty obvious that it was going to upset my stomach.
Yergh... x_x
I tried taking a nap, but it didn't help much. I'm still lightheaded and weak. I keep stumbling over myself everytime I get up and walk around. Hopefully I'll feel better by tomorrow. My friend is coming over to visit then. I guess today might be a good day to watch one of the movies she loaned me.
I'm bored. Maybe I should continue conquering the top ten percent. -_- z_z x_x
See you, folks.
