  • Z_Z 2004-07-14 13:10:59 [DAY] so far? Z_Z
    [MOOD] tired
[MUSIC] none, im watching Billy and Mandy...sorta
[THOUGHTS] -runs mind down list of things to do...more specifically, things to draw...-

havent written for awhile because my mind's been really preoccupied. i was showing Harubi a technique for drawing a starry sky in one of the How To Draw Manga books, and on the front of it it said 'Approved by the Tokyo Animation College' and Harubi was like "oh! you should so go there!" it really threw my brain into another place. me? go to TOKYO? for COLLEGE?? as if i wasn't stressed enough about it! its only 3 years away -_-. i mean, i've ALWAYS wanted to go there, but... not right out of high school!

i thought about it for days and days. i couldnt even draw my mind was so preoccupied. should i go to Tokyo? the place ive always wanted to go? the biggest city in the friggin world? i could becoma a manga-ka! i was seriously considering putting my story out into the world! but... Tokyo is ((needless to say)) soo far away from home!

but what about my other dream? going to Madison, WI and studying to become and Optomitrist? i was trying to live two different lives. i had to choose which one i wanted the most. which one i could dedicate my life to.

i couldn't sleep at night i was thinking about it so much. i finally went to Tokyopop.com to check out if they had a new Dragon Knights book. and i saw the ABOUT US tab. i clicked it, and eventually figured out that i could send my story to them and they'd publish it!! i could stay right here in America and still become a manga-ka! if i dont make enough money, I'll get a seprate small job, cuz im not sure how much manga-ka's get... but thats ok. i also dont know if Madison UV is the best college for me, so i gotta get some information on it and what classes i can take there relating to drawing.

i havent told anyone yet, not even my family. i might tell Harubi, but she'd tell my parents. im not sure they'd approve. i told them i was going to be an Optomitrist... a doctor just like them. as if my dad doesnt already not like my READING manga, how would he react when he knows i want to CREATE a manga? but ... i do. i have such a great story in mind, and not a day goes by that i dont think about ways i can improve it.

but setting that aside, i found this really awesome anime site called mediaminer.com. its got fanfiction and fanart, and i even submitted a Fruits Basket story. but, when i looked at it the format was really screwy, so i edited the chapter and tried to send it to them, but the stupid story changed to .rtf, which is the file format that THEY DONT WANT!! i cant figure out how to change it!! i had to take my story off the web, then when my dad gets home ill get him to help me figure out how to change it.

i think ill post some of my art up on the site too once we get a scanner, which should be in about 2 weeks, which is when my dad gets paid, ^_^. AND GUESS WHAT!!!! MY DAD SAID THAT IN TWO WEEKS HE'LL GET ME THAT YU YU HAKUSHO BOX SET!!!! ^__^!!!! I CANT WAIT!!!!

as little sleep as ive been getting, ive been eating less food. i dunno, between surfing mediaminer.com and drawing those chicks for Harubi's pants, i barely have time to eat. i only eat dinner if my parents prepare it, and for the rest of the day i just eat random things like cereal or a sandwhich. i dunno, im just not hungry. i also have been skipping out going to the gym. ive been too tired to go! i was gonna go today, but then Harubi convince me to stay up with her all night. she got on the internet to get some lyrics for her pants while i drew. it took me from 12:30 to 5:00, but i got it in pen, and even thought of what to put in the background. now all i have to do is pen the words and color the charachters....if i dont keel over first though. after 5 me and Harubi retreated to our rooms so our dad wouldnt find out that we stayed up all night. i tried to draw, but my brain was unfocused and my contacts were a boutta fall out, so i just gave in and went to bed. ((after i took my contacts out))

guess that's all for now. i promise to restart writing you on a daily basis instead of writing a BIG long journal entry every 4-5 days, k?

    [MOOD] slightly bored
    [MUSIC] random AMV's
[THOUGHTS] i seem to be apologizing to you a lot lately....

so once again, i say sorry. this time for the abrupt journal entry last night. i know, but my sis came outta nowhere and was like "my turn!!!" so instead of arguing i just forked it over.

so, allow me to explain the journal entry.

but in reality, i cant. i cant explain why i felt like Harubi was imposing on my thing when she said she wanted to learn Japanese. i mean, wasnt i the one who wanted this? ....i dont know.....truly. i cant figure it out....

but on a brighter note, i convinced her instead to take Hmong, since she has so many friends that are Hmong. i cant believe it worked to, ^_^.

um....me and Harubi stopped playing Pokemon Red. Kaba won, hands down. so instead im playing Ruby and she's playing Sapphire. hey, their a lot more fun than Red, and the graphics are better in a nutshell, lol.

-i wonder how many people are gonna roll their eyes and stop reading my journal about now....-

ITS SATURDAY!!!!!! Yu Yu Hakusho, InuYasha, and Wolf's Rain comes on! ^_^!!! ((im happy, can ya tell? lmao))

my dads back in SC now to get all of our stuff we couldnt fit in the first truck. i dont miss him too much, cuz this is just like if he was on call while at work ya know? i dont think it a crime to miss your dad while hes gone for the weekend and keeps calling, lol.

ill talk to you later, k? with more interesting things too, lol.

((btw, the thing i wrote to you late last night was from funnyjunk.com ((i didnt even make up the funny parts in ( ) after each one, just so ya know.))
  • lmao!! 2004-07-09 00:51:17 ok, i know i wrote to ya'll today, but this is TO FUNNY!!

Some examples of why the human race has probably evolved as far as possible. These are actual instruction labels on consumer goods...

    On Sears hairdryer:
    Do not use while sleeping.
(Gee, that's the only time I have to work on my hair!)

    On a bag of Fritos:
You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.
    (The shoplifter special!)

On a bar of Dial soap:
    Directions: Use like regular soap.
    (and that would be how?)

    On some Swann frozen dinners:
    Serving suggestion: Defrost.
    (But it's 'just' a suggestion!)

On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert: (printed on bottom of the box)
    Do not turn upside down.
    (Too late! you lose!)

On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding:
Product will be hot after heating.
    (Are you sure? Let's experiment.)

On packaging for a Rowenta iron:
Do not iron clothes on body.
(But wouldn't that save more time?)(Whose body?)

    On Boot's Children's cough medicine:
Do not drive car or operate machinery.
(We could do a lot to reduce the construction accidents if we just kept those 5 year olds off those fork lifts.)

    On Nytol sleep aid:
    Warning: may cause drowsiness.
    (One would hope!)

    On a Korean kitchen knife:
    Warning: keep out of children.
(hmm...something must have gotten lost in the translation...)

On a string of Christmas lights:
For indoor or outdoor use only.
(As opposed to use in outer space.)

    On a food processor:
Not to be used for the other use.
    (Now I'm curious.)

    On Sainsbury's peanuts:
    Warning: contains nuts.
    (but no peas?)

On an American Airlines packet of nuts:
    Instructions: open packet, eat nuts.
(somebody got paid big bucks to write this one...)

    On a Swedish chainsaw:
Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands.
(Raise your hand if you've tried this...)

    On a child's Superman costume:
Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly.
(Oh go ahead! That's right, destroy a universal childhood belief.)

    lmao!!

  • sorry, ^_^; 2004-07-08 23:28:13 [DAY] 0_0
    [MOOD] tired....
[MUSIC] none, cuz my parents are asleep
    [THOUGHTS] sorry i havent written to you guys, ^_^;

like the above statement says, SORRY! ive been doin a lotta shit lately and havent had time to type here.

well, i checked out the forums, and was pulled into a forum frenzy, lol. i had a lotta fun checkin out what other people had to say about random things, lol. ok, this is a sign of exactly how pathetic i am: im racing Kaba and Harubi playing Pokemon Red Version. ((shh! its our secret tho'! lmao)) Kaba's winning tho. im kind of a poor sport, so im trying really hard to catch up with him, but i took the time to write to ya'll instead, lol. me and Harubi used to be into Pokemon ((who wasnt)) in the 6th grade, maybe a lil into the 7th, but not much after that. of course, Kaba got heavily into it as a result of us quitting ((getting our hand-me-downs)) he's not into it much anymore, he just likes the games. as for me, i like the idea, i just dont like how it was portrayed through the episodes. i like the games tho. their a little weird, but i like being able to travel through the land and raise them. yeah yeah, i know im pathetic, but whatever.

i actually have plenty of other thing i could be doing. like finishing the last 2 angels for Zoe's pants, or start learning Japanese, or even write about my manga. aah...the summer-related feeling of letting go settles in, lmao. i actually worked out on Wednesday, and was gonna work out today, but was too tired. ((didnt have time on Thurday))

time to tell you about Harubi, i guess. ((its kinnda difficult for me to put this down))
i dont really tell you a lot about Harubi.....so here goes. Harubi lies. for no reason at all! their just little lies, too. things that dont even matter, or things we dont even care about. it turns out, that she's also been stealing stuff from our family. not big things to sell off, just little things she keeps in her room. i didnt know this before, but my mom told me yesterday. see, she has this kinnda big necklace with a pendant hanging from it. in the pendant is a picture of all of us ((me, Harubi, Kaba, and Gaki)) while we were in the second hotel while coming up here, it disappeared. my mom's not the sort to lose things, especially not something she likes as much as she likes her necklace. well, while she was looking for it, she remembered she had to find the remote to the TV, the one that used to be in our duplex. the only other room that had boxes from our duplex in it was Harubi's. ((since she doesnt have a bookcase or a desk or anything, all of her crap is just laying unorganized in her room, and its SUPER messy.)) well, while my mom was looking for the TV remote, she found a buncha lil things in Harubi's room. stuff that she didnt even need! stuff like, my big chunky brush ((which she doesnt need cuz that brush is bigger than her hair)) then my mom found a pair of her her bra and underwear! Harubi doesnt (1) need them (2) fit them! my mom is bigger than both of us combined! and her underwear....i dont even WANNA know, man! you know, just a buncha little things that made no sense for her to take!

    my mom eventually found her necklace in Gaki's hair box, but that doesnt make sense! my mom had been in her hair box thrice before then, and never saw it in there before. AND this is a big necklace too, ok? she would've notcied it. i think Harubi somehow found out my mom was looking for her necklace, and sneeked it into Gaki's hair box. i seriously cant think of anything else. however, a part of me really doesnt want to face the fact that Harubi steals stuff! i mean, that really sucks, -_-;

on a different note, i went to an eye doctor today to get my eyes checked , cuz lately ive been having trouble seeing at a great distance. ((i already have contacts that are pretty strong)) i wont go into any boring details tho', just the fact that my eyes did get worse, and the fear that im gonna be almost blind when i get older, -_-. THAT would really suck ya know?

oh, guess what i got at Block Buster today? the first disk of Neon Genisis Evangelion. i heard it was really good, so i decided i might as well give it a shot. and Kaba got Final Fantasy X-2. he's having a hard time with it though. i think i might try it, it looks really interesting. im really suprised at the quality of it, lol.

    ugh, gotta go, sayonara!
