Yay! Christine came home today, and she called linksys & fixed the internet. You know what this means, doncha? I can upload my video finally!!! I need to recompress it first...
In other news, my diet is going well. I've been sticking to it for 4 days. I eat fish or fowl and 1 or 2 servings of dairy. I've substituted ice cream for yoghurt and today frozen yogurt. My daily treat has been cookies and ice cream, but much less than I had been eating. Also, since dropping the class from Hell, I had time to clean my room, get my mail, grocery shop, deposit a check, get my nails done, wash my car & get it smogged, and exercise. It really is difficult to exercise when you have somewhere to be every day. No wonder America is fat...
This past week, I've just been relaxing and living. It's SO nice not to have to go to school in the ungodly heat each day. Fuck you August. I'm going to miss this apartment. I hate the apartment I'm going to be moving into, but maybe I can still get out of it, while sparing my friends' feelings. (their apartment is hot & small and crawling with nosy security guards).
Today was nice. I got my financial aid check, which will defer the expenses my car has been racking up lately (gas, oil change, gas, car wash, gas, smog certificate, gas, dmv registration fee, gas, parking ticket, gas.) I also bought some cute capri pants and a new pair of jeans. Until I lose enough weight to fit into my older, smaller pants, I need some looser ones. Hopefully these shorts will be falling off baggy by winter.
I can't believe what I've let get under my skin, and for this long, too. I really should have more self-esteem than to put up with certain people in my life who constantly put me down and make me feel like less of a person. Interpersonal relationships don't work unless they are founded with a mutual respect and willingness to truly listen to the other person, instead of tuning them out all the time and telling them to "get over it."
My friend may be getting married in a year. She asked me not to tell anyone, so I won't mention her name just in case. I'm super excited for her!
Also, my Mom finally got her restraining order. The evil one is still calling the house & he came by once, even though he isn't supposed to. Mom needs to talk to the commander about the behavior of the police officers around our street, but if I write any more, it's going to make me really mad. Suffice it to say I'm proud of her for finally ending a negative relationship.

Just got back from the beach with Victoria!! It was awesome, but the waves beat the shit out of me. I managed to catch a bunch of waves with the boogieboard in the shallows like I always do, but the shallow water in Sunset Beach is made of rocks. I think one came home with me, embedded in my foot...;(
On the plus side, we were gone for 3 hours, so it's a workout. If we go back Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, that's my exercise for the week. Supplemented with pool swimming, or course. Who's going to look hot in a bikini soon?
In other news, bittorrent, the dvd burner and netflix are working together to make my happiness a reality. Why the fuck doesn't netflix have Sailor Moon? The torrent I downloaded of the entire omnibus worked, but the episodes have holes in them. Perhaps it didn't really complete, or the download corrupted. Either way, it's not worth it to me to fix the problem. That's what fast forward is for. So far, I'm liking it.
Tonight, I plan to shop for a string bikini so I can untie the top when I lay out & not have a tan line. My one piece has left parts of me pasty, and I aim to fix that. Yay end of summer sales!!!
